The tour starts from the Portavecchia promenade in Monopoli, riding a mountain bike, to the plain of centuries-old olive trees, where you can admire wonderful olive trees and discover the secrets about the production of extra virgin olive oil. It will be a journey through time, crossing fortified farms, an ancient underground oil mill with a real oil museum, as well as rock churches with medieval frescoes. An emotional journey that will allow you to discover authentic places in this corner of Puglia, along country roads and ancient tracts. A relaxing ride in nature, in the shade of centuries-old olive trees, carob trees, almond trees, figs and prickly pears, along secondary roads and old clay paths lined with dry stone walls. The tour ends with a tasting of typical Apulian products and sensory analysis of different types of Apulian extra virgin olive oil.

Fun countryside bike tour

5.00Fun ride with a great group. Highlights of the tour were biking through the countryside, learning some history as well as how olive oil is made, and the tasty food/wine/olive oil at the end. Note there are a couple light snacks throughout the ride, but I'd suggest a full breakfast prior to the ride or bring a power bar to stay fueled.

5.00This bike ride was wonderful. Antonella our guide was so engaging, passionate and knowledgeable & made it such a pleasure. It was fabulous to visit private places that are so authentic and we would not have had that opportunity otherwise. The bikes were good and we loved every minute of it

5.00Really enjoyed our ride in the olive country with Antonella. She is very informed about the olive farming and processing. Amazing to see centuries old trees and farms. Had really nice treats during and after the ride. Would highly recommend.
