Overview
A brilliant way to explore the area and see the beauty all around. You will ride across plateaus, surrounded by mountains on relatively easy grade 1-2 family friendly trails.
The recommended route follows trails all the way from Hawea, alongside the Hawea river, through Albert Town and then follows the Clutha river to Wanaka.
On your way there are lots of interesting places to visit including Lake Hawea, Pembroke Patisserie, Wanaka, the Wanaka Tree and the Edgewater Hotel garden bar.

4.0David, our tour guide (and company owner) throughly explained the route beforehand. The equipment was good quality and in proper working order. The ride was very enjoyable overall.

5.0An easy ride along wonderful scenery with a cool suspension bridge and a well-placed patisserie in a town midway along the route. A bit bumpy as you are mostly on gravel bike paths, but still very nice.

5.0We had a great morning riding the trails between Lake Hawea and Wanaka. The trail was easy to navigate and family friendly. We chose e-bikes because we weren’t sure about the terrain but these trails could easily be navigated without the e-bike option. Although the e-bikes were great fun. Fabulous scenery throughout with some cafe options and lovely places to stop for a snack or drink. David was fabulous and explained the trails and some history about the wanaka area. The pick up/drop off was easy and centrally located in town. Overall a fab experience even for us trail riding novices.

5.0Great trail operated by true professional. Bikes were top quality and the trail was easy to follow and explained well. Views were only accessible by trail and well worth the time spent.
