Your guide will take you quietly through one of Europe's largest renaturation projects : Leipzig's New Lakeland. Where lignite was mined 35 years ago, today an impressive lake landscape extends – crisscrossed by a dense network of paths, lined with inviting excursion venues.
Let yourself be taken on an entertaining excursion into the countryside. Discover the wild floodplain forest, the vast meadows of the Elster and the crystal clear Lake Cospuden.
The special thing : This tour belongs entirely to your group – without foreign guests. Whether you are a group of friends, a family or a company outing : you set the pace, bring your own ideas and your guide will arrange the day according to your wishes.

What To Expect
Leipzig
The tour starts in the city centre and leads through Clara Zetkin Park to the Elster floodbed. From there, a cycle path leads us to Lake Cospuden. As we circle the lake, we see the diocese height and the Zöbigker Hafen. Afterwards we pass Kees’ Park and the Southern Shire Forest. Once again, the trail leads us through Clara Zetkin Park and ends in the city center. Information is for reference only. Subject to change without notice.

5.00Four hours on the bike and not once looking at the clock - that actually says it all. The route through the floodplain forest was my personal highlight. But Lake Cospuden is also great. It is hard to believe that coal was mined here in the past!

5.00Great bike ride. From the meeting point in the city center we went with our guide through the city park to the New Lakeland, once around the Cossi (Cospudener See) and through the floodplain forest back to Leipzig. We thought it was great. Maybe you could also offer the tour with e-bikes?
