This was our second excursion with Jose of MexiGoTours. Again he amazed us with his fluidity with languages. The day before he spoke Italian with some of the group and English with the rest and today he spoke French in addition to English with us. The tour was great! We got fitted with the proper bike size and seat height and off we went through the streets of Valladolid to the market where Jose picked up a few ingredients for our lunch. Then we headed out of town to two cenotes (Oxman). Life vests are mandatory. Wear water shoes to go down steep stairs to the water. Afterwards we biked to a small Mayan home where the owner showed us how to make tortillas and we had tacos filled with sikil p’ak… a hummus-like dip or filling made from ground toasted pepitas that was very tasty. From there we went to a neighbor’s home for a demo of how to make a hammock. It was a great, but exhausting day. Be prepared though as we biked nearly 14 miles in 95-degree heat. Bring water, wear sunscreen and wear a hat that will stay on your head as you bicycle. There were a couple of small hills.

Javier was a great guide! Friendly, knowledgeable and fun. We had a great day visiting the markets, cenote and making Tortillas. It was special to make lunch with a local family and learn about their language and how they live. Would highly recommend.

This was an amazing tour and we really got to know valladolid. The ceote is a perfect way to cool down and then you go for some of the best tacos. Our guide was Habier and he very informative, funny and lovely. Strongly recommend this tour.

This was such a fun and informative tour! We really felt like we got to know Valladolid and the area a lot better with this tour. We started early in the morning getting picked up at 8:45am directly from our hotel in Valladolid. Our guide, Jose, took us to the municipal market in Valladolid and took us around, explaining to us what kind of products were typical of the region. We felt no pressure at all to buy anything, as MexiGo Tours not not make commissions or anything from the sellers. We enjoyed seeing lots of products made of sisal (a kind of plant fiber from agave), carved jicara, leather shoes made by hand, delicious homemade chocolate from the region, as well as homemade hot sauce, powdered Chile to eat on top of mango, and lots of other delicious things. After the market, we went to the cenote Oxman. It was absolutely breathtaking. We took lots of photos and videos there, as well as had so much fun swimming in the cool, refreshing water. We then visited another cenote of which I forget the name, which was also nice. Our tour guide Jose had free cold bottled water and snacks for us in the van, which we really appreciated. We then visited the Mayan village of Xocen and were invited into the home of a Mayan family, who very kindly taught us how to make tortillas while they prepared eggs with longaniza (a local sausage), guacamole, and hot sauce. We then ate a delicious lunch together. Our guide translated for us, even though we spoke Spanish, because the family spoke mostly Maya language. We also visited a family who makes authentic Mexican hammocks. They gave us a demonstration of how the hammocks were made by hand, and then allowed us to look at a few. We felt no pressure at all to buy, and enjoyed watching the process of how it was made. Our tour guide Jose was so friendly, kind, and informative. He had so much information to give us about the local people, food, and places, culture, and history. We felt so culturally enriched after our time with him. If we ever return to the area, we would like to take some more tours with MexiGo Tours. We 100% recommend them!

The tour guide was EXCELLENT! He was very patient and accommodating. Yucatan is currently going through a heat wave and the temperatures have been extreme. One person from the group was not feeling well, so he offered her to ride with him in the motorcycle so that she could rest. He was very compassionate and knowledgeable. Very good experience. You do need to be in good shape for this activity. We rode for about 22 kilometers (13.64 miles); so do not do this activity if you have back or knee problems. We were all exhausted by the end but everyone in the group said it was definitely worth it!! The Cenotes we visited were AMAZING and the food at the Maya household was very good. Be prepared to spend all day doing this activity (especially if you want to spend extra time at the cenotes). We had the option to add a third cenote to the trip (Oxmun) and it was the best decision we ever made.

This tour was incredible! We had the best time biking and checking out cenotes but our favorite part was getting the opportunity to experience Mayan culture (and eat the best tacos we’ve ever had) through our visits with the locals. We’re so grateful for their hospitality and for these experiences! Our guide Jose was fantastic - he was super knowledgeable, happy to answer questions, and kept the tour fun. This was such a beautiful and fun way to experience Valladolid! Really one of the best things we did during our entire trip to Mexico

A very complete excursion, by bike, with José, an incredible guide! Thank you to him for sharing the love of his country and Mayan culture. We had the opportunity to discover many beautiful things and learn a lot about the Mayan culture. The day by bike and long enough, with the heat it was sporty! The cenotes are worth the detour and the meal was super good! Do not hesitate to choose this agency!

We spent 1 day with José less than a month ago now (October 2022). Our children talk about it as their best day of our stay in Yucatan. The contact with José who is extremely kind and very attentive is a lot to do with it. This excursion to Bike where the exchange is permanent is simply TOP. We learned a lot about the Mayan Culture, very nice cenotes and visit at the right time in order to avoid crowds. The meeting with the Mayan family where we could practice making tortillas was also a very moving moment We wanted a guide who spoke French to simplify the exchange with our children: José is perfect. Summary; perfect day with an unforgettable guide. Valentine, Alix, Mathieu Denis and Cécile

We had a very nice bicycle tour with José , visiting the market, where locals buy their food. After that we went to two cenotes and also had lunch in a traditional way with Dona Raphaela in a Mayan family. And José speaks very good French. Thanks for the experience!
