• The Best Way to Discover Authentic Gambia – Highly Recommended!

  We had the great pleasure of exploring The Gambia with Pablo as our guide, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Thanks to him, we were able to see not only the most important attractions but also experience the real, authentic Gambia. Everything was perfectly organized, and the whole trip was smooth, interesting, and very enjoyable. Pablo has an impressive knowledge of the country, its culture, and its history. When visiting places like museums, he shared many fascinating stories and explanations about local traditions and everyday life, which made the experience much more meaningful. What impressed us the most was his incredible knowledge about birds. As an ornithologist and true enthusiast, Pablo was constantly spotting different species and pointing them out to us – many of which we would never have noticed ourselves. It made the trip even more special. Pablo also created a wonderful atmosphere throughout the whole journey. He is very friendly, professional, and attentive, which made us feel safe, comfortable, and well taken care of at all times. We highly recommend Pablo to anyone who wants to truly discover The Gambia. Thanks to him we were able to experience authentic Africa and create unforgettable memories. We are very grateful for this amazing journey.

  Our guide Pablo was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed the trip in his air-conditioned vehicle. Saw a good selection of birds. Unfortunately the booking times we were given by Trip Adviser were not the same as those given to Pablo. He arrived for a 7.30 start,our booking said 12.00. This was not his fault we were still in bed so set off late. We arranged other bird watching trips while in the Gambia all of which started at 7.30 (It's too hot in the afternoon) I advise those wishing a birding tour in the Gambia to book directly with one of the guides of the Gambia Bird Watchers Association based at Kotu Bridge rather than book through Tripadvisor whose error gave us an unexpected morning wake up

  We had the tour “7 Attractions”, it was fantastic, we got a good impression of the nature and life of Gambia. Pablo was an exceptionally good tour guide, he gave us a lot of knowledge in a calm way. With this tour you get a good insight in one day, it is highly recommended.

  I'm an avid bird/wildlife photographer and always travel on my own so it's really important I find the very best private guides to make the most of my time and enjoyment. Pablo is your man! Loads of fun with excellent English, he's incredibly knowledgeable and very professional. He takes his job (or should I say passion) seriously and knows both Gambia and Senegal like the back of his hand. He also knows all the other guides well and keeps his ear to the ground about what birds are around and where the special species are. The thing that struck me was his work ethic and commitment to nature conservation which is very close to his heart. He's desperate to help the up and coming youngsters protect their beautiful country through education and encouragement. He cares, and he really wants them to care too. Pablo is a great driver (he has a Rav4 4x4 with air conditioning) and is totally reliable. He's also great value (better than other more expensive guides). If you are looking for someone to help plan some glorious outings to see wildlife as well as other cultural interests then I can't recommend him enough.

  2nd time in gambia, 2nd time through this top guy booked our trips. Always stays with his group during the activity, super sympathetic, drink during excursions including (or at least with us), knows his job, specializes in birdwatching but also shows with love the other things in his country. Always takes you to local people / places. Also provides good information not only about the excursions but about the way of life but is also always available for all kinds of practical questions

  Already from the bridge you can spot many birds. An added value is a beautiful walk and boat trip of +/- 1h30 where you can spot beautiful birds during the boat and walking trip. 15€ per person I find very expensive for Gambia.

  I was with Pablo in one day trip. We visited 3 places and Pablo was attentive to show all birds around. Pablo is very kind and I felt safe all time. We met the day before so all logistics were confirmed.

  I have been with Pablo on many bird watching trips and covered most of the popular places. Pablo is a good birder, he helped pick out lots of birds not least a Long crested Eagle in a distant tree whilst on our way back from Tendaba Camp. Pablo knows all the local guides at the different places he visits which is invaluable to find the more shy birds. I travelled with a very experienced birder on this occasion and he commented that he would have preferred to stay longer in some places to check over the area for other species with his scope, however, due to time this was not always possible. Overall Pablo provides a good service, I think he could improve his service by taking note of the more avid birdwatchers requirements and tailor his day to their needs by asking what they want from his services.
