Black Virgin Mountain

We collect guests from various hotels, it's possible that your hotel is our first stop, so ensure you're prepared by 07:00 a.m. As we journey through the lively streets of Sài Gòn, we make our way to Tây Ninh province. We may pause for a short break and restroom facilities en route. Upon reaching Black Virgin Mountain, we'll embark on a picturesque cable car journey to the summit of Bà Đen Mountain, the tallest peak in southern Việt Nam. From this vantage point, you'll have the chance to marvel at the impressive Tây Bổ Đà Sơn Buddha Statue, Asia's highest bronze Buddha, and soak in spectacular vistas of the surrounding landscapes – from quaint villages to expansive rice fields that border Cambodia. Ensure you have your camera to capture these memorable views!

Cao Dai Temple

Next, we move on to the Cao Đài Temple, often likened to a Walt Disney masterpiece set in the East. The temple's facade is adorned with vibrant dragons of various forms, intermingled with numerous swastikas. The all-seeing sacred eye, representative of the Cao Đài faith, oversees the main entrance. Inside, it's equally captivating with figures of Jesus, Buddha, Confucius, and Laozi standing in harmony. Appreciate the grandeur of the largest Cao Đài temple and participate in a ceremony to delve deeper into this distinct Vietnamese faith. We enjoyed a very full day from the cruise port near Saigon. Good communication, punctual, large comfortable vehicle. Black Virgin Peak was spectacular. We had no expectation other than cable car to top for view. So much more! Not crowded and no tour buses. Visitors mostly Vietnamese people. Our guide, “Max” was knowledgeable and shared lots of information about the history and culture of Vietnam. Cao Dai temple was very beautiful and Max explained about the history and foundations of their religious practice. Cu Chi tunnels was quite an experience also. Since we arrived later in the day there were few people. Long trip but highly recommend.

We really lucked out having such an informative, polite and funny tour guide in Bin. A lot of times tour guides can be too much. Bin was fantastic as was this out of the way tour. Spectacular and less visited by the tourist masses. Thanks Bin

This was a great day trip form Ho Chi Minh. Whilst a long day (nearly 11 hours) we saw some places that we would not have go to otherwise and was worth the effort. Black Virgin Mountain and Cao Dai temple were interesting, but the highlight was the Cu Chi tunnels at Ben Duoc. We had a fantastic lunch and our tour guide Max did a greta job of looking after us on the day. Thanks Max!!

Highlight of our trip: The Black Mountain Buddha truly took our breath away. The views during each break in the clouds were unforgettable, and catching a glimpse of the Lady Buddha surrounded by mist felt incredibly special. The Happy Buddha with the water display is another memory that will stay with us. Everywhere we looked, the attention to detail was stunning. I only wish we could have stayed longer—especially in the peaceful Zen garden. Also we were also lucky enough to witness a prayer service at the temple. I’ve never seen or heard anything like it. Simply amazing. Lunch was lush too.

Great trip with enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide, Bin. Black Virgin mountain was an amazing experience. We were the only non-Vietnamese visitors. Long day. 11 hours door to door.

The trip was fantastic. Bin was very knowledgable about everything Vietnamese. The driver was possibly the best in Ho Chi Minh City. Would highly recommend to anyone. The tunnels were very impressive as was the massive Buddha on the mountain

Enjoyed this trip very much. Max was a great guide and everything well organised. Interesting to see something of the countryside on the drive to the mountain and wonderful views up the top. Nice also to escape the heat . I loved the black lady statue and the Buddha with fountain display. The cable car and whole facility is almost brand new and beautifully done with several restaurants and some shops and clean restrooms. Also enjoyed the temple visit and then on to the tunnels which was a wonderful if sad experience. I passed on getting into the little manholes as feared would not make it out again but managed down the first level of several bunkers without too much difficulty. Very distressing to see something of the booby traps but gained some understanding of how awful it must have been for everyone involved in awful war.
