What To Expect

1

Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park

Featherdale provides a home to over 2,000 Australian native animals from more than 260 different species and is home to the world’s largest collection of Australian wildlife. Focusing solely on native animals, at Featherdale you will find the largest collection of koalas in New South Wales, 3 open space enclosures filled with kangaroos and wallabies, as well as well as encounters with many other iconic Australian animals, such as dingos, echidnas, wombats, bilbies, Tasmanian devils, reptiles and a stunning collection of birds from Australia and around the world.

2

Lincoln's Rock

This incredible lookout gives you your first all-encompassing views of Jamison Valley, which change colour throughout the day as the sun and clouds move overhead. The drawcard of Lincoln’s Rock is the impressive optical-illusion photo you can get as a memento, which makes it appear as though you’re sitting literally on the edge of a cliff. In truth you are, except that there’s a fairly safe ledge just below that would stop you from falling very far! However we do state that you take photos at your own risk

Our driver / host RnR (not correct spelling) was great. She looked after us and offered solutions. There is some walking and decent shoes will help. Recommend the day, good value.

  • Featherdale Wildlife Zoo is the best zoo to see animals up and close.

The bus ride was about 1.5 hours, and the hike down to the waterfall and scenic area was narrow and more suited towards a younger person in shape. Not for an older person who has difficulty walking down narrow steps and some places that are wet and/or muddy. The scenery was "OK". The best part of the tour was going to the Featherdale Wildlife Zoo who caters to harmed or abandoned animals. We were able to see a lot of wallabies, kangaroos, koalas, wombats, dingos, and birds, etc. You could get up close to the animals and feed them (except for the koalas). The zoo was small but very animal friendly and more intimate than the bigger zoos.

  • Fantastic Small Group Day Trip

Fantastic trip and overall experience of the Blue Mountains. Our guide, Arana, was welcoming and super helpful given my wife’s mobility impairment. She even took a a small detour at the end of the trip to drop us at our hotel so my wife would not have to walk back from the pick up point. We could not have asked for more out of our day and we could not praise Arana’s care and compassion highly enough.

  • Beautiful Blue Mountain

The part that was up in Blue Mountain was 5 out of 5 stars. The guide was customer-oriented and enhanced the experience. The stop at Federley wildlife should be skipped. Poor animals in little cages and children pulling kangaroo by the tail.

Excellent trip, well worthdoing. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Good explanation of itinery. Featherdale Wildlife Park was hands on and excellent opportunity to see Koala Beats and Wallabies up close. I would ha e preferred a lu ch stop at Leura as more to offer than Katomba which was pretty run down. Blue Mountain walks and look outs were fantastic. Scenic World is not a theme park so do it as it both educational and offers amazing views. The walk down through the tropical forest was beautiful but not for the faint hearted as you have to walk back up approx 450 steps. Overall excellent value and a day to remembet.

Guilherme was a great tour guide and was very informative with facts about Sydney on the way to the wildlife park. Also when we got to the blue mountains the views were amazing and he was very knowledgeable throughout the whole day on each part of the trip. Also gave everyone a small koala gift after leaving the wildlife park. Was a great day and a great way to spend one of the last days of our honeymoon. Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who would be interested.

Our tour guide, Ronnie, went out of his way to show everyone a great time. He was funny and took us to several amazing sights in the Blue Mountains, filling us in on the history, geography, and plants and animals on the way. Five stars all the way!
