Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park
Featherdale provides a home to over 2,000 Australian native animals from more than 260 different species and is home to the world’s largest collection of Australian wildlife. Focusing solely on native animals, at Featherdale you will find the largest collection of koalas in New South Wales, 3 open space enclosures filled with kangaroos and wallabies, as well as well as encounters with many other iconic Australian animals, such as dingos, echidnas, wombats, bilbies, Tasmanian devils, reptiles and a stunning collection of birds from Australia and around the world.
Lincoln's Rock
This incredible lookout gives you your first all-encompassing views of Jamison Valley, which change colour throughout the day as the sun and clouds move overhead. The drawcard of Lincoln’s Rock is the impressive optical-illusion photo you can get as a memento, which makes it appear as though you’re sitting literally on the edge of a cliff. In truth you are, except that there’s a fairly safe ledge just below that would stop you from falling very far! However we do state that you take photos at your own risk

Gil did a great job narrating and driving our van. He showed us the awesome Blue Mountains and took us on the most beautiful hike with rock formations, waterfalls and many different plants. Gil was full of information about everything we saw. This was fun and a very worthwhile excursion! We highly recommend Gil’s excursion.

The lady leading our tour was wonderful and very funny as she talked us through everything we were seeing. We had a great playlist and she helped us get the best photos!

Gil was our guide, and he was AMAZING! great attitude and very informative. While it was ridiculously hot and included lots of walking, that was exactly what we signed up for, and it led to amazing views and inspiration for a second trip! We went to Featherdalr Wildlife Park for about an hour and a half first and saw some amazing animals we could feed within a smaller area so it was easy to see lots quickly. Then took about a 45 minute drive to Katoomba, the town you view the mountains of. It was a cute little town with tons of places to eat and shop. After visiting three view points we went on a 2 hour, 4km (2.5mi) walk through some one-of-a-kind views of trees, sand rocks, and amazing waterfalls. Would recommend but be prepared for a long day of walking!

Our guide Ronnie was very professional, informative and punctual. We had plenty of time to enjoy all the animal sites at Featherdale and still visited and often hiked to the best overlooks or waterfalls in the Blue Mountains. The hiking can be quiet strenuous for anyone with a knee or respiratory problem or a senior. Ronnie was always mindful of the safety needs of his passengers and would give insightful information. We had ample time for lunch and never felt rushed at any of the overlooks. Highly recommend Ronnie and Colourful Tours.

Our driver / host RnR (not correct spelling) was great. She looked after us and offered solutions. There is some walking and decent shoes will help. Recommend the day, good value.

The bus ride was about 1.5 hours, and the hike down to the waterfall and scenic area was narrow and more suited towards a younger person in shape. Not for an older person who has difficulty walking down narrow steps and some places that are wet and/or muddy. The scenery was "OK". The best part of the tour was going to the Featherdale Wildlife Zoo who caters to harmed or abandoned animals. We were able to see a lot of wallabies, kangaroos, koalas, wombats, dingos, and birds, etc. You could get up close to the animals and feed them (except for the koalas). The zoo was small but very animal friendly and more intimate than the bigger zoos.
