Your Giethoorn Boat Experience Your adventure starts at our boat rental location, where you can use the restroom, park your car for free, and grab a snack or drink to take with you on the boat. Before you head out, our friendly team will give you clear instructions on how to operate the boat and share some tips on what to see in Giethoorn. Once you’re ready, you’ll set sail and follow the route using the navigation app we provide. You’ll have the boat for 2/3/4 or 6 hours, giving you the freedom to follow our suggested route through the charming canals of Giethoorn or explore the open lake at your own pace and enjoy the stunning scenery. As your time comes to an end, simply return to the boat rental, where our team will assist you with docking and getting out of the boat safely. 1.00When we got to the location it wasn't clear which one we had to go to, and ended up at the wrong location at first, causing us to lose some time. When we got there there was no guide or anyone to help us with the boat, you have to use a website to unlock the boat. On top of that the boat was filthy, and water ended up leaking in the boat over time so we were required to stop, leave the boat and open the plug to let water out multiple times. No matter how hard we tried to plug it correctly.

5.00Well arranged. Once you arrived at the boat you could start the boat yourself. No waiting in line at a counter. The boat was clean just a cloth over the benches (it had just rained slightly) and we could leave. Via the app got a route and we had a great time.

2.00Boat was not in functioning order and it took 20-30 min to fix it. That said, we were allowed to take that time in account for bringing it back. However, nobody told us that the “yellow” route was closed, so when we were half way down the route we faced a blockage of water wall and couldnt go further as the goverment “closed “ that section… could have been communicated better

5.00We had a really fun time with this boat rental! It’s definitely more affordable if you book directly in the morning until lunch, so that’s worth keeping in mind. Since September is rainy season, I recommend bringing something to wipe or cover the cushions, as they can get rained on. You’re free to bring your own food along for the tour, or you can make things easy by ordering a picnic basket when you book. We found that 2 hours was the perfect amount of time to explore the canals at a relaxed pace. If you want a peaceful experience with hardly any tourists, go on a Monday morning - it was quiet, calm, and very enjoyable.
Do not recommend it at all.

1.00It was terrible experience for us and I didn't see anyone there that is happy. Last time we used another tour and it was perfect. We went there around 12:25. There were other people waiting and trying to understand the system. There was no one working there and the phone system said no one is available. Tan We applied to give us a boat number. It was 13:20 when the system gave us a boat which although we confirmed nr 6, another people got same boat over the phone through system. We had to get down and wait another boat. There was a guy there first said he is not working there 30 minutes ago, he said he booked us another boat from the system... Finally we were thinking it is ok, at 14:30, it said your time is over. It does not start your time from when you get on the boat. It starts from when you reservation starts. As a result we waited almost 1 hour for the boat, rode the boat less than 1,5 hours, payed for 2 hours. I definitely do not recommend it. Go find some other tour. Do not waste your tour and your day...

2.00Unfortunately, that I booked a 6 -seater boat for 2 hours at the price of €55, but when I arrived, the weather was terrible, almost like a storm, which made it impossible for me to use the service, even though I had already paid.”
