The tour begins with a tasting of fresh handmade pasta, such as tagliatelle al ragù alla Bolognese, finished with locally produced Parmesan cheese. This iconic dish is one of Bologna’s most beloved culinary symbols. Lighter and more versatile than lasagna, it offers a perfect introduction to the city’s cuisine while leaving room for the tastings to come. 5.00A fantastic way to explore Bologna, taste the cities food and wine, and get a sense of the history and culture. Giulia was a friendly, informed, and flexible guide. She wasn’t just speaking from a script, and had a genuine care and passion for the city and its cuisine. We were only in Bologna for 24 hours, and this was a perfect choice for us to be fed and entertained. We just wish we had booked longer in Bologna to sample more! Will definitely look out for another walking tour when on holiday in the future.

5.00Luca was our guide and he was awesome! He was very knowledgeable about the area and gave lots of restaurant and bar recommendations which was perfect info to get on our first night in Bologna. The food stops were delicious and Luca went out of his way to show us a few "secrets" of the town. Would highly recommend.

5.00We visited Bologna for a day trip from Florence. Lorenzo was our guide and he was awesome. Super knowledgeable and friendly and was happy to answer all our questions. This was a full meal - we had two types of pasta, one tigelle, cotoletta alla bolognese, espresso, and gelato. Everything was delicious. We had drink tickets which included wine or beer at the first three stops. We paid about $105 per person and felt it was a great deal for all we got. Thanks Lorenzo for a great tour!

5.00Great food tour! We definitely went to restaurants we would not have discovered on our own. The food was very good and there was a lot of food in total — a complete meal by the end of the evening. We had 2 kinds of pasta, tiagelle small sandwiches, cotelletto (meat dish), and gelato. Our guide, Valentina, was fantastic. She clearly has a passion for this food, and she did a great job explaining each dish, telling us how it is prepared, and on what occasions it would be eaten. She also was kind enough to text us tips for our upcoming visits to nearby towns. We came to Bologna for the food, and this was a great introduction to Bologna’s gastronomy!
