Bolzano Walks
Meet up with your guide to begin your walking tour, which offers an overview of Bolzano history and wine tradition. Your first food stall stop will present you with the opportunity to taste a Wuerstel (sausage), which is a typical example of Austrian and German tradition. Moving along, you will then visit a local bread producer where you'll enjoy a very special type of bread, Schuettelbrot. Next, you will head on over to the Franciscan Church. While here you will gain some knowledge about one of its famous guests. Afterwards, pop into the town’s oldest bakery to taste some local sweets and cakes. Continuing on, you’ll walk along the medieval street for your next stop, a popular Trattoria for a very Italian Happy hour with bruschette and a local cocktail. In addition to your food journey, discover the Medieval arcades and stop at the town's oldest Inn for a beer tasting. Please note: places visited during your tour are subject to change due to shops availability.

A great tour. We have seen and experienced a lot! The announced tastings were also all excellent! Elisabeth was/is a walking lexicon. None of our questions remained unanswered! Clear recommendation! Our guide Elisabeth should be mentioned explicitly again! Top!

We have found that the best way to discover a new town is through it’s food! Bolzano is an amazing food place, having the cross over of the German and Italian food cultures. It is even better when Sharon is your guide. Her english was impeccable and being a local, she knew all if the nooks and crannies. We grazed through all of the food groups, including a brewery whose building was first inhabited in the 1400’s as a winery and we had a delightful flught of 5 different beers that changed my perspective on German basic blond beer.

My husband and I were so glad that we booked this trip. Claudia was such an informative and fun guide and we learned so much during our tour, as well as having plenty of stops, getting to sample really nice food and drinks. With only one full day in Bolzano this was a great way to maximize our time here. Highly recommend this tour.

Claudia was an excellent tour guide who provided in-depth information on the food, people, and history of the South Tyrol region. My husband and I were lucky enough to join her early in our trip – a Tuesday morning with excellent weather – and used the information and additional recommendations throughout our week-long stay. We would highly recommend!
