Never been landsailing? That's okay. No experience necessary. Bonaire has the perfect conditions and we have the ideal location. Sailing a blokart is super easy to learn. We'll give you a 10 minute lesson to ensure you have the most fun during your time on the track. This activity is for everyone because you control the speed. Those wishing to take it easy and enjoy a leisurely, wind-powered sail can do so, and those wanting a full dose of adrenaline will also enjoy themselves. We have three shadow (double) blokarts available so small children (ages 3-8) or elderly parents can ride in the "side car". No excuses for not participating as we recently had a 91 year old lady experience landsailing at our track. Children, age 8 and older, can sail solo (depending on wind conditions).
Join us for the most fun you will have on 3 wheels!
Wheelchair accessible
Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
Service animals allowed
Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Must be under 150kgs (330 lbs) to participate.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
The track is located about 15 minutes from the center of Kralendijk on the wild and windy side of the island. You are welcome to drive there yourself, then spend some time exploring in the area. (If you need a transfer from Kralendijk, please select that option when you make your booking.) When you arrive at the track, we'll spend about 10-15 minutes going over the rules and getting some tips on sailing. You'll don helmets and gloves (and glasses if you don't have your own) before walking to the pit stop and getting into your blokart. We size the sail to suit the wind conditions and your weight and skill level. You'll have about 45 minutes of sailing (on wheels) before it is time to come back to the reception area for a debrief and discussion on "who was the fastest!". We offer cold water served in your very own eco-friendly water bottle (included in the price) and some unique souvenirs available for purchase. The total tour takes about 2 hours including travel time from Kralendijk.

My wife and I had a great time ! Richmond was one of our instructors, answered all questions and explained the rules. Sailing / driving on the course was an absolute blast. You’re supposed to keep all three wheels on the ground, but if you like to go fast, you’ll unintentionally end up on two. Not dangerous at all. They supply all the gear and a drink at the end. Would def do it again !!!

I didn't know what to expect, but I really enjoyed it. I was the last one in our group of 4 still racing, almost till the end. Someone crashed into me and once the separated us, I kept going. It is tough on the hands (I've had surgery on both over the years), so I finally have to give up. I believe in trying everything once and this is a fun excursion. The guides were wonderful. They also took a lot of pictures so you have momentos...included free. You're given a code to view and download. Thank you for a good time!

We like trying new adventures. This was fun and exciting.Everyone was very friendly and helpful. This reminded us of the go-kart tracks. Ist right on the water and the wind was fierce so no problem getting your speed up.

Wow, what a blast! I almost didn’t go, because I had seen old videos of guys out in the California salt flats going miles landsailing, and this is a track where you go around in circles. I’m so glad I changed my mind and went! It was so much more fun than I imagined. The staff were excellent in picking us up at the ship right on time, and explaining the sights we saw as we travelled to the facility. Once there, we watched a very clear training video, and the very helpful staff provided helmets, gloves and a last set of instructions. For anyone with a GoPro, the helmets already have GoPro mounts, so just bring your GoPro and your clip that attaches to the helmet mount, you’ll be good to go! Once on the track, learning how to turn and control your speed was pretty easy. After a few laps all of us were zooming around like pros. You’re on the track for 45 minutes, but I swear it felt like 5 minutes! The only negative I can even try to think of is the track was pretty fully of potholes, making for something of a bumpy ride. But once you get the hang of turning you can pretty easily avoid the bigger ones. At some point Bonaire Landsailing Adventures may want to invest in re-grading and re-paving their track. But again, that doesn’t stop you from having a really great time. I’d highly recommend going, even if you’re thinking you’re not sure if this is for you. One note, you do have to have pretty good mobility as getting into and out of the Blokarts requires a bit of dexterity. But again, the excellent staff was there to help you get in and out. The only thing I wish I’d done is to slow down and give one of the guys my GoPro so I could have some shots of me passing by. But again, not a biggie. I’m SO glad I changed my mind and went - this was one of the highlights of our cruise to the ABC Islands!

So much fun and easy to do! They picked us up from right off the ship, have fantastic instructional video and fit us with the gear and told us exactly how to maneuver the carts. Would definitely go again!’

My husband and I are 70, and we love experiences which are fun and different. This experience was both! It’s a great way to challenge your coordination a bit, zoom around a little track, and play with the local trade winds. A big gust and zoom zoom, and watching the kids there that day was also a pleasure. Great fun!
