5.00John was a fantastic tour guide and driver! He drove very thoughtfully and we felt safe at all times. The highlight was the beach and the fireflies for all of us. We started with the floating mosque - be aware you need at least ten minutes to get changed and it’s five ringets per person to go in (you will need to rent an outfit to ensure you’re appropriately dressed for the mosque.) Those who didn’t want to go in were taken for a walk around the outside by John. Then we went to the chocolate factory - John was very knowledgeable about how the chocolate was made, and the tasting of all the different chocolates was really nice. In truth, we felt that the beginning of the tour was slightly rushed - that because we left late due to a tourist arriving 30 mins late at the beginning. It was an hour drive to the river tour and we enjoyed the calming music John played. At the river cruise starting point we saw a number of monitor lizards and had some delicious fried banana and drinks. The river tour itself was fantastic. We saw proboscis monkeys, lots of macaque monkeys, baby crocodiles and some fascinating birds. John and his team were great at spotting everything! It was quite busy on the river with other boats but that’s probably because of the weekend we chose - it being a public holiday. We enjoyed beers on the beach (10 ringets each, bring cash) and the sunset was beautiful. We appreciated John taking a photo of the group too. The best part of the tour was the fireflies in the trees. They were lit up like Christmas trees and having them fly towards us and land on us was very, very special. The dinner was delicious - lots of choice and I appreciated my wife had enough to choose from (she is a vegetarian.) John played calming music on the way back and we all had a little snooze. We were happily ensconced in our hotel room by 9pm. Would definitely recommend.

5.00This was a brilliant afternoon/ evening and suitable for solo travellers, couples or families. We had Timmy looking after us for the day, who has lovely, kind, good to chat with, knowledgeable and wanting to ensure everyone was enjoying the experience. On the cruise we were fortunate to see proboscis monkeys due to Timmy’s agility to bring us for an earlier dinner after an initial unsuccessful sighting, to then have success on the second trip along the mangroves. The late sunset at the beach for the sky mirror was great, with Timmy knowing how to get a good photo. The last element as the sun went down was experiencing the sheer magic of thousands of fireflies light up the mangroves. Thank you Timmy for the perfect experience.

5.00This is an absolutely amazing tour. Our guide Eddie was fantastic. I leaned so much about cocoa, the animals, the island of Borneo and Sabah! Starting at the Mosque, then the chocolate factory, to the cruise, dinner, sunset and the fireflies, it’s fabulous and I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you Eddie for making it such a wonderful day!

5.00Very good excursion with varied activities. The guide, John, and his helpers on the boat were very pleasant and helpful. Please note that the mosque is not included if you go on a Friday. Luckily, we saw proboscis monkeys twice, but people who went with a different operator did not see any monkeys.

5.00A wonderful experience getting to see some of the sights of Sabah! John our guide was excellent, he is knowledgeable, friendly and professional and ensured we enjoyed our trip! The chocolate factory stop was interesting and informative and we certainly enjoyed the taste session, on the river we saw proboscis monkeys, macaques, herons, kingfisher's, woodpecker and baby crocodiles, after sunset we enjoyed the magical fireflies that make the trees look like Christmas. Overall a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend!!!

5.00A fabulous day & evening seeing the Probiscus & Monkeys and Macaques. Eddy was a brilliant guide, very knowledgeable, making sure we stayed to see a whole family of Monkeys where other guides took moved on too quickly & missed them. The photo shoot at the beach was also far better than expected & again Eddy was wonderful at helping everyone to get amazing shots. He gave great information throughout the trip and even made sure everyone who wanted to, caught a firefly & release them safely. His knowledge of the environment of the Mangroves was strong as well as his humour. We felt very well looked after & had a brilliant time seeing lots of wildlife & trying local food.

5.00We had a great trip. Eddy was our guide and he made it the 5 star experience it was. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and fun. He helped us find the monkeys and had so much information to share about them. Our son will never forget this special experience.
