So much history. The details of the plantation was fascinating. Must see. Bricks were made here and sold every where. With the bricks that were not made perfect the enslaves built their quarters.

It was a beautiful place, and it can all be seen within about four hours, but it's not spectacular. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and they all seem to appreciate our visit. Other than trying to keep the house tour short, I didn't see reason why they did not want visitors to take pictures of the inside of the house. It's not like anything would be harmed by it. However, the big disappointment was the price that Viator charged for tickets versus what Boone Hall Plantation charged. Viator charged $38 each for two senior adult tickets, while the official price of senior tickets at Boone Hall Plantation was $27 each. If I would have known this, I would not have purchased our tickets from Viator, as it's a bit of a rip-off.

My wife and I spent about 3 1/2 hours at Boone Hall and loved the experience. We started at the museum, toured the main house and gardens, took the tractor tour, did the self-guided tour of the salve quarters, and finished the day with the Gullah presentation. I wouldn't change a thing. The buildings are well-preserved. The history is well documented and interesting. And the tour guides are interesting and entertaining. It was a wonderful experience! We enjoyed learning more about the slave history, Gullah culture, and the history of Charleston.

I never got your tickets so they did not let me in. I got yelled at by the guard. They had no records of the reservation. I showed my Banks transaction but he would not honor my purchase. Very disappointed

Visiting Boone Hall is a profound and I suggest that one should attempt to still their spirt, mind, and body in order to experience the atrocities that occurred on the land. This is not for people to hurt but to become truth tellers and advocates to prevent this from happening again.

It was very educational and all the guides were wonderful, professional and nice. The recorded messages in the slave quarters were very informative.

The building and grounds are beautiful, and set on the property of a historical plantation. Be sure to tour the mansion with a free guided tour. The on-site museum was very interesting and informative.

We visited the Charleston area from Texas for our Christmas trip in 2025 and were blessed with beautiful weather and a visit to Boone Hall Planation. While the gardens were not in season, the grounds were still quite beautiful and the oak tree lined drive is breathtaking. Take the tour! The tour guides are excellent and the history is fascinating. The interior and exterior of the mansion is decorated for Christmas, but note that access to some rooms are off limits and photos inside are not allowed. However, you will still see plenty inside!! Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. This property is a jewel!

Very little to see. I expected to visit more of the main house not just the first floor. Not worth the money we paid to go there
