Spent an amazing few hours visiting the Boone Plantation. From the Big House to the Farm Train ride around the property. The people that worked there were super nice and extremely helpful. Just pains me that it was occupied by slaves at one point in time.

Informative, beautiful grounds with a wonderfully, friendly, engaging guides. Loved that this is still a working farm, with lots of activities going on.

House only dates to 1934 and tour only includes 4 rooms. Plantation is still working farm and would be lovely in spring and fall.

We enjoyed our visit to Boone Hall. The grounds are truly beautiful and well maintained. The tractor tour is fun, and the guides are interesting. One downside, however, is that there are no provisions for non-English speakers. We were with our children, who are learning English but are not yet able to follow such complex presentations. It would be nice to have some kind of support, such as an audio guide or something similar.

We paid a lot more for our tickets than we had to. We paid $36 online, and it would have been $29 at the gate as we are seniors.

The Gullah presentation alone was worth the cost of the ticket. The tram ride around the estate was also well done and informative. The grounds are beautiful, especially the tree lined approach to the house. The tour of the house itself could be skipped, as it is not the original house, was built in 1935, and only includes drawing room, dining room, entrance, breezeway, and game room on the first floor. The slave quarters are very informative with relevant exhibits. The freedom to wander around the plantation, at will, was great. All in all, a great way to spend your day.

My husband and I loved the information given to us. We took the tour around the plantation, The Gullah history and the other was the history of ownership (not sure what that one is titled). No lines at this time of year. The weather was 65 and perfect. Everyone was friendly and helpful if need. Almost forgot we took the tour of the interior of the main house. That tour was only the first floor. Our tour guide was informative and had a great sense of humor.
