Highly recommend. Well organized starting with house tour/talk, to wagon ride around property. Be sure to visit the farm out buildings for info and talks on the slave trade/living conditions in general as well as the farm. All talks were good. The Gullah Geechee presentation by a 7th generation Gullah was exceptional and eye opening.

Very nice place to visit. Hearing the history of the place was very interesting and eye-opening. Things did seem a bit rushed even though we had our tickets prior to getting there. The tour of the house and the story time at the cabins should be better coordinated so you don't have to rush so much. We were disappointed because we were waiting to do the tractor tour, along with probably 10 other people, but no one was showing up. There were no signs anywhere stating that there wouldn't be any tours because they felt the prior day's weather impacted the roads/paths too much. We all waited there for a while with no information. Other than that, it was very nice. I don't think I would need to go back if we ever get back to Charleston, but I'm glad we visited this time since it was our first time there.

There was a lot to see at Boone Hall and the insights into plantation life were fascinating. And even though I'd seen photos the oak alley was so much better in reality.

An amazing insight into history. The setting is beautiful, staff really helpful and all round it is definitely worth a visit. What really made this visit the most amazing thing was the lady presenting Gullah culture. An amazing voice and was so engaging which made learning so easy.

An amazing and action packed day. For one extremely reasonable admission price you are granted full access to this amazing piece of history. From the main house to the slave cabins to a hay wagon style tour of the entire property every piece was well run and thoroughly enthralling. Even got some great canned food products grown right on the plantation. This is a must see for anyone. It is a glimpse of something that must not be forgotten.

There is so much to see & experience at this plantation. Some are at specific times so plan your tours accordingly. One live presentation you shouldn't miss is about the development of the Gullah culture in the Lowcountry. Note: many tour books around town have $5.00 off coupons for this place
