5.00Our Boquete Panoramic day tour was phenomenal! Our tour guide Alexander was so informative and obviously an expert, he made us fall in love with the area. The tour felt personalized for just my family (myself, husband and sister) and had a little bit of everything: beautiful mountains, coffee plantations, incredible parks, history, waterfalls and food! Alexander answered all of our questions and shared so much culture and knowledge. We joked that he was going to be blamed for everyone wanting to move to Boquete!

5.00We spent nine wonderful days exploring Boquete in March and had the pleasure of being guided by Alexander Ortega of Cloud Forest Travel on three separate tours. Alexander is an incredibly gracious, knowledgeable, and skilled guide and gave us a complete picture of the people, the history, the culture, and the magnificent beauty of Boquete and surroundings. He made us feel very welcomed and at ease, answered all our questions, and patiently encouraged us to practice our Spanish language skills. We highly recommend Alexander and Cloud Forest Travel for your visit to Boquete! Like us you may be lucky enough to see the illusive quetzal on a rain forest walk with Alexander!

5.00Alexander came directly to my Airbnb house to pick me up right on time. I thought I was going to be on a bus with a bunch of strangers (which is not as bad as it sounds). It turns out it was just him and me in his clean and capable VW Anorak truck. We hit most of the popular neighborhoods in the view areas, then we headed up into the high country to see some waterfalls and some of the hiking trail departure points. We hiked to one waterfall from Bajo Mono Campground. It was a moderate (for me) hike with a little mud that was easily navigable. As a reward for completing the hike, it was off to Finca Lérida for coffee. Excellent coffee there as it is located between two of the best plantations in the world. After coffee it was time for lunch at great little cafeteria. It was good food and way more than I could eat. We then made a trip through Volcancito and back to home. Alexander was a great driver and knowledgeable guide. His English was perfect and he was friendly and polite. Worth every penny.

5.00Alexander grew up in Boquete. He has been a guide here for 12 years. His tour was like traveling with a really informed and attentive local friend. Because I am old and not agile, we skipped the hiking parts of the tour. He effortlessly filled the time, showing me many of the varied microclimates in the area. He told me much about the growing and harvesting of coffee, about the history and people who live there, about the birds and plants. I told him I felt like a native. It is a beautiful and multi layered area. I would love to come back and do more tours with Cloudforest. I felt truly welcomed and comfortable.
Great Introduction to Boquete

5.00Great tour! I did this the second day I was here and it was a great way to get introduced to the town. Started with a hike to a stunning view with lots of birdwatching, got to see all of the different neighborhoods and orient myself with the town layout, had a delicious local lunch and amazing coffee. Alexander was a friendly and knowledgeable guide and as an added bonus a great photographer, so I got some awesome pictures from the day!

1.00To be fair, I complained and got a full refund - so I am not criticising this company from that perspective. However, beware what you are buying here. The description of the tour to me was and still is very misleading - particularly, given the price point.

5.00This was the perfect way to get "the big picture" of how Boquete is situated and what its more immediate (but quite varied) surroundings are like. As it worked out, I was the only person on the tour. My tour guide, Alexander, was top notch. Very knowledgeable and he had lots of good information to share. I speak minimal Spanish, to say the least, but he was quite fluent in English and so the whole tour was in English. I have a much better "sense of place" now!
