This is a great 1/2-day snorkeling trip in Bora Bora. This is the second time we've taken it - we took the same one when we were here two years ago and it was one of the highlights of our prior trip. First stop is the gentle sharks and stingrays, which are in shallow clear water about 4-5 feet deep, so you only need mask & snorkel, no fins, and can even walk. You are surrounded by sharks & stingrays, and plentiful butterflyfish and others. The sharks & stingrays just swim right by you repeatedly for about 30 minutes. Then, I guess depending on sightings, you may go nearby to see Manta Rays or Eagle Rays. This time there was a Manta Ray nearby. Incredibly - these are rare, and the Manta Ray was in about 15 feet of water just making slow circles around the coral. See my pics. The other time we did this tour, the guide took us to a school of Eagle Rays. These are also rarer rays than the common stingrays. In deeper water about 40 feet we hovered over a school of what must have been over 100 of the spotted eagle rays in our snorkel gear. Then you always go to the Coral Gardens. This is a great reef for beginners, as it's really vivid and also in shallow water about 5-10 feet deep, so you don't need to be able to dive down to see fish, giant clams, urchins, etc up close. And since it's so shallow it's brightly lit by the sun. Take this trip!

Staff are friendly. Two shark and goose points, two coral and fish points. The salt is high and the body is rounded! Better take your snow-cooling equipment personally. It feels nice to go. The highest price.

When you arrive at the spot to snorkel with sharks and rays, everything in your body will say “don’t get in the water”. But it is knee deep, crystal clear and the black tip sharks whilst curious don’t have you on your menu. You’ll see lots of them swim by a hands touch from you and the odd sting ray and pretty fish. It’s a truly special experience and a must do when in Bora bora.

We had a great time on this excursion! We saw a big pod of eagle rays, black tip sharks, and sting rays. We also got to visit a stunning coral garden with beautiful fish and the most colourful clams! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly! Highly recommend this excursion!
