We don't believe in "cookie-cutter" experiences and neither should you! We provide the most personalized tours possible, meaning every tour we give is never the same. With the exception of a few must-try foods, the rest is built around YOU and what you're curious about tasting.
Groups are kept small and led by an incredibly knowledgeable guide. Did you know baguettes are some of the worst bread in France and you should be asking for something else? Did you know there are seasons for cheese? Would you like to have someone explain the regions of French wine? Our guides can do this because they are former chefs, food writers, and wine experts - not a student who has memorized a script.
You'll be strolling through Old Bordeaux, with its magnificent medieval architecture and cobblestone streets, sampling the best Bordeaux has to offer. We have selected only the highest quality shops to showcase and portion sizes are generous.

Our unique format: enjoy a grand finale + pairing at a wine cellar/shop the second half of the tour
Sampling the best shops in Bordeaux: an artisanal bakery, butcher, cheese, cannele, and wine shop
A personalized tour: every tour is different because it is based on the foods YOU are curious about
Grosse Cloche
The tour lasts approximately 3 hours and is divided into two parts. The first half has you visiting the best artisanal shops in the city - specifically an artisanal bakery, fromagerie, butcher and cannele pastry shop. You will sample a few items along the way but the main event happens during the second half of the tour. You will enjoy a seated wine, cheese and charcuterie pairing for a grand finale at a wine cellar/wine shop. As we are walking, we'll point out a few historical landmarks in Old Town Bordeaux from the Camino de Santiago to the Grosse Cloche - one of the most recognized monuments of Bordeaux.
Our standard tour starts at the Cinema Utopia and is about 1 km broken up over a leisurely hour and half, before the seated wine pairing. There are spots to sit and rest along the way and the distance can even be further reduced if there is someone on the tour who is elderly or mobility impaired.

Alexandre was full of knowledge about a various different items. Brought the city to life for me. Varied selection of food and wine. He tried to take into account my personal likes/dislikes. Gave me food for thought literally. Background support by the company involved truly excellent

Alexandre’s tour was fantastic. He managed to create a great mix of historical and cultural experience out of an informal culinary. I wish we had more time to take other tours with him.

We had a great morning with Alexandra for the Bordeaux in Bites tour. There were three generations of men from our family on the tour (aged 20-85), so quite a mixed bunch, but we all learned, ate, and drank very well. Thanks also to Tom for sharing his knowledge and passion for wine. I'd thoroughly recommend.

Like other experiencing other cities and cultures, food/drink is a great way to get to know Bordeaux. Alexandre was an excellent guide and picked out great charcuterie, bread, cheese, and wine. Would recommend to anyone traveling solo or in a group.

Alex was a great guide sharing with us the history or Bordeaux and the great food and wine. Visiting all of the shops and learning about the making of the food and the criteria to call it certain names was very enlightening. Alex also catered well for my gluten free needs.

This was an extraordinary tour.our guide Alex was very knowledgeable and considerate of the people. We had people with specific dietary and religious needs-all were met with grace and consideration. His choices were superb, delicious and his pairings were well explained. We would very happily take another tour with him.
