Bosnian Coppersmith masterclass is perfect opportunity to peak into traditional copper artisan-handicraft which exists in Sarajevo over 500 years already, and get the real chance to create your own craft, or souvenir. We invite you to join our half day workshop and experience secrets of the best coppersmith artisan out there.

What To Expect

At very old coppersmith shop at Kovači street, you will meet your instructor and you will get to learn about the traditional coppersmith industry in Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in the same time make your own copper product.

The coppersmith workshop was absolutely fantastic, we have just finished it this afternoon. Unfortunately Funky tours is a third party involved in the booking and they are completely incompetent, but the coppersmith host is amazing and we had such a great time with her. If you book with funky tours, double check your booking confirmation with them as they have no idea what's going on. If you can choose this tour elsewhere with another company that also uses this same female coppersmith (she is the only female in her profession), then I'd recommend booking it with the other company.

This was a very fun activity. We began the experience by a short walk from the Funky Tour office to the copper workshop/business. The shop owner was very friendly and immediately made us feel comfortable over a cup of coffee and tea. We decided to make decorative souvenir type magnets. All the tools and instruction were provided and we enjoyed several hours of laughing and enjoying our time. We really enjoyed the experience, perfect if the weather outside is not so good. It gave us a new appreciation of how skilled the local coppersmiths really are in their craft.

I loved getting to chat and learn about the copper making craft. The host is the only female in her industry in Sarajevo. She gave so much incite on the craft as well as what life is like in Sarajevo. Coming home with my very own Bosnian coffee post was the cherry on top of a wonderful afternoon! I absolutely recommend adding this to your itinerary.

my friends and i (eight of us) just wrapped up our funtastic holiday with Funky Tours. In Apr this year, i found Funky tours website and i email Funky Tours to make enquiry after reading positive review from Trip Adviser. Ema was quick to response to my queries and thru several emails, she managed to come out with a detailed itinerary, to include both hiking and cultural activities . Ema has also offered lots of suggestions, which was really helpful. We had such a great and memorable time in Zagreb, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The hotels selection by Funky Tours was great too. The hotel is of great standard, good comfortable beds, great breakfast selection, and great location . Our guides were awesome and professional too Everyone in Funky Tours are just awesome.

The artist is the only female artisan of this craft. She learned from her father. She is patient and her English instruction is perfect. She even helps fix your mistakes. It is a fascinating afternoon and you come away with your own Bosnian coffee pot. She is a true artisan and her workshop exhibits beautiful work.

The handicraft workshop was interesting. Guide Anna is a knowledgeable lady who knows about the architect and food story. I got to tried many different street foods Amd everyone was very friendly.

This was such a lovely tour and I was so touched to learn so much about the history of Sarajevo and this craft. I will forever keep and use the coffee pot with the designs I created that have a special meaning to me. This tour is not to be missed!

We would definitely recommend, even if you are just for a few days in Sarajevo. We spent the whole morning in a small workshop, trying to learn the basics of this craft. Our hostess was so kind and explained everything in detail with so much patience. Our coffee pots will be kept as a memory, for sure. Thank you for this experience!
