Make the most of your short time in Tasmania and book this wonderful tour! This enjoyable 10-hour day is food, sightseeing, history lessons, wildlife and trivia all rolled into one fabulous experience! Jerry, our tour guide, was personable, knowledgeable and willing to go out of his way to insure an enjoyable time for all, we tasted local honey and chocolate, had morning tea on the coast with fresh sourdough, cheeses and oysters, found wild wallabys, saw a pod of whales, enjoyed a wonderful lunch on the island, toured the lighthouse and had the most breathtaking position for pictures. Such an enjoyable day - probably our favorite outing in Australia!

Great small group tour where we had opportunity to enjoy delicious food (oysters and cheese were highlights) and see plenty of the island including the lighthouse. Unfortunately weather wasn’t the best on the day however our guide Dave adapted it for the conditions. Dave was very knowledgeable sharing history about Hobart and Bruny island on the drive and was friendly and happy to answer questions.

Trip was very well planned and our guides Rick and Phil had a sound knowledge of the places we visited and narration was equally good. Could see and experience all major sightseeing places without rushing.

What an absolutely wonderful day out! From the moment we were picked up, it was clear this was going to be something special. Our guide, Jimmy, set the tone immediately — knowledgeable, warm, and full of fascinating insights into life on Bruny Island. He truly made the experience. This is a full-day tour, but the hours disappear in the best possible way. After a scenic ferry crossing to Bruny Island, we first stopped to taste the local honey. From there, we settled into a gorgeous beach stop for morning tea — a beautifully curated spread of local cheeses, freshly baked bread, and plump, freshly shucked oysters. It was the perfect introduction to the island's remarkable food culture. The highlight for history lovers was a visit to the second-oldest lighthouse in Tasmania, where the local lighthouse keeper led us on a guided tour to the very top. The views and the stories were equally breathtaking. From there, we made our way to the famous isthmus — the narrow strip of land that connects the two halves of Bruny Island — for a short walk and some truly spectacular scenery. A stop at a local artisan estate offered chocolate tasting (and optional whiskey tasting for those so inclined), showcasing the island's incredible artisans. Before heading back, guests had the chance to purchase fresh oysters to take home for the evening — a lovely final touch. Lunch at the Bruny Island Hotel was a real highlight too. The portions were generous, the menu featured a wonderful variety of fresh, locally sourced food, and the relaxed setting was perfect after a morning of exploring. The small tour bus was spotless, comfortable, and never felt crowded. Jimmy's expertise and genuine passion for the island made every stop memorable. Whether you're a foodie, a history buff, or simply looking for a memorable day out, this tour delivers on every front.
