  Louis was an amazing host, she explained the history very well. Waffle and chocolate tasting was a very good experience. Overall the tour was very well paced and did not feel tiring.

  Loved this experience. Both Sanchez and Lou ( I hope I’m spelling the names correctly ), were very friendly , honest and knowledgeable. Learnt lot of insight into historical places in Brussels and hot spots for food etc. This experience I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to cover main historical sites in a fun way while tasting some delicious Belgian sweets.

  This is a good tour. I echo all the other reviews that praise the quality and pacing of this tour, with one exception. At the end the tour, when the climb up the hill begins, the pacing speeds up quite a bit for those with mobility issues. Then comes the very long set of stairs. If I had to guess, the stairs might be the equivalent of walking up three stories. Regardless, there was no way we where going to be able to make it. By the time we got to that point, we were so far behind the group, we couldn't tell anyone we were dropping out. As we sat and waited, the guide did show up at the top of the stairs and at that point we were able to wave her on. All that said, I would still recommend the tour, but with the understanding that, for some, it might not be possible to finish. Had we known we should just stop at the beginning of the hill climb, we would have still enjoyed the tour a great deal, in fact, the end would have been much, much more pleasant and far less frustrating.

  Excellent tour- meeting place was at Heritage Waffle. Owner gave us a private history of waffles and made fresh waffles. Second guide took us through the city and shared lots of historical information and suggestions. We also had chocolate and two other sweet treats. Paul was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable!   We did this as a family with 2 teenagers and we all thorougly enjoyed it. It was a great way to see the highlights of Brussels, with some chocolate and waffle tasting included along the way. Francois was an excellent guide, very knowedgable and included plenty of personal annecodotes. Highly recommended.

  We came from Paris for the day just for this tour. 25 minutes before it started, we were texted about a different location for the meeting point, which luckily was not too far away, and I was glad I checked my phone since we were almost arriving at the original location that was printed on the tour ticket. The tour advertising photo is a bit misleading as this is a 95% history walking tour and 5% eating/tasting. We began at the owner’s waffle shop, where he did a great demonstration of waffle-making, ingredients, and different kinds of waffles. They were all very delicious and we loved hearing about the history of waffles in Belgium and the traditions with the culture in the country with how they are prepared and consumed. Our history tour had many neat places to see, and the guide was easy to understand, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable about Brussels and historic landmarks. We passed at least six waffle shops and even more chocolatiers. No waffle shops were stopped at, and we only visited one chocolate shop and had two samples. That was a fun experience to learn about that shop’s history with the king and the owner. The other food samples were out of the guide’s backpack in a Tupperware container with a spicy-style cookie and small baked pastry. No other shops were visited except on the outside. It was very hot, and the guide tried to find shade during each short presentation; the cathedral was also amazing to see. We did not sit or have a water break for 2 1/2 hours. Our family felt that there should have been more stops at chocolate and waffle shops as advertised and a few less history stops. This was supposed to be Belgian waffles and chocolate. Know before you go as we did not.
