Careful of your belongings going through security

1.00Arriving at airport, you are required to pay for toilets access, which is particularly inconvenient when managing luggage and navigating turnstiles. However, the more serious issue occurred during departure. At security, the process was poorly managed, with long queues and no clear communication from staff. Despite asking in advance, I was only instructed at the last moment to remove my bangle, ring, and watch after setting off the alarm. I placed all items carefully in a tray and proceeded through screening immediately after it. I was the first to pass through and was watching my tray as it came through the scanner. At that point, I noticed that my bangle was missing. I immediately raised this with security staff, but they were dismissive and unhelpful, and I was told to move on without any meaningful assistance or investigation. I subsequently contacted the airport by email and requested that CCTV footage be reviewed. I received a response stating that the item had not been found, but there was no indication that any camera footage had been checked. This is extremely disappointing and does not address the seriousness of the situation. My bangle could not have simply disappeared from a tray under observation, and I am deeply concerned that it may have been mishandled or taken during the screening process. So advice be aware.

1.00DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! Flight booked from Charleroi. When booking the ticket, no mention is made of any problems with ID cards. Ticket and ID card will be checked upon check-in. Yeah, no problem. Enjoy your flight! When boarding, the ID card is refused, without explanation. Rude and somewhat aggressive attitude of the staff. Flight missed, no refund... DEGOUTANT!

5.00a good airport with direct access to the coach services that take you to Bruges in about 50 minutes (Do not mistake this airport with the Brussels main airport)
