Our guide Matteo was extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the history of the region Brugge and Ghent. He has a good sense of humour and also he interacted in a one on one situation, answering questions and articulating his responses clearly. I will highly recommend this tour

We were asked to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before departure, and if late, they will leave without us with no refunds. The van arrived 10 minutes late. I say van because it was a van not a luxury bus as described on the booking. Our tour director told me the bus that was arriving held 50 people, the “van” held 20 and we were 18. Obviously the equipment was downgraded due to small bookings. That wasn’t so bad except the van did not make for easy viewing as the windows didn’t go very high. If you sat anywhere except a window seat you couldn’t see anything. The director was describing cathedrals and other landmarks as we drove by and all I could see were their doors! The itinerary called for a direct trip to Bruges where we would spend the most time. Ding-ding-ding, wrong again! The itinerary was changed to start in Ghent whee we would spend the most time. When I booked the trip, I really didn’t care about seeing Ghent, now it had become the focus of the trip. Not good. On a positive note, the tour guide was exceptional. Not his fault things were changed.

Disappointing for we we’re looking forward for the tour. Have to take public transport to see the places. Expecting a full refund as advised within 5-7 days.

Luis was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately the tours weren't long enough and it makes you want to return to explore more on your own. I would definitely recommend and try to plan ahead what you can do in your limited time to these amazing locations. If you are briefly passing through Brussels this should be on your list

We booked this tour a month in advance. We arrived at the pick up point at 8:30am following the instructions I had received the day prior via the Trip Advisor app that the tour operator had sent in a message only to find out they canceled the tour. I had to call the tour operator to figure that out after waiting for a bus that never came and after they charged my card. I get that tours cancel for all sorts of reasons but to not contact the customers beforehand so they can make other plans for an entire day of a vacation is unacceptable. I did get a refund. Also, when I called this went to a phone number in Amsterdam so I don't think this is even a local tour company to Brussels which is another red flag.

Love viator, but if this was my first tour it would have been my last. Our guide was hard to find at the meeting points from start to finish., and not very informative. People on the bus were told to move from their seats twice by other passengers, because of their ethnicity. Which she saw and did nothing about. These are not reserved seat and that should NEVER had happened .

Ugo our guide was a lovely guy and knowledgeable. Everything took twice as long though as although this was billed as an English speaking trip it was also Italian as well so he had to say everything twice. The itinerary was not held too, mine said a trip to a brewery when we returned to Brussels and and we did not go to that. Both cities were lovely to visit. The only improvement Ugo could offer would be to point out nice photo opportunities and give the group time to take them before walking off as we had a choice to listen to the information he was giving or break off to take a photo and miss what he was saying. Bruges in particular is so pretty with lovely shops to visit. I would skip the cruise in ghent unless you are a tiny person. The boats are very narrow and leg room is half the size of an economy plane seat area so really uncomfortable. They squash a lot of people on the boat so nowhere to put your legs except under your chin. very interesting mini cruise but not worth the pain in my legs for the rest of the day. I would recommend Ugo as a guide and both Bruges and Ghent were interesting.
