What drinks are included on the tour? We typically offer a variety of traditional Romanian beverages, though exact options may vary depending on availability. You can usually expect drink samples: shot of tuica (Romanian brandy); up to 3 beers, or soft drinks and coffee/tea as non-alcoholic alternatives.
Can the route or food offerings change on the day of the tour? Yes, we reserve the right to adjust both the route and the places visited during the tour. How much walking is involved, and do we use public transport? This is an active walking tour covering approximately 6 kilometers on foot. We also use Bucharest’s public transportation network, including a short tram ride, to explore different neighborhoods. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended!

Andrea was an incredible guide- we were together for almost 6 hours and it flew by. She was so deeply informed and a great storyteller as we learned and ate together. I was stuffed by the end, and really enjoyed all our stops. It was worth it to get oriented to Bucharest.

Alex gave us a great tour. His knowledge of the city was excellent and his food choices were delicious. He was also very accommodating to our group since we had someone with a cane and he made the distance we covered very manageble with a bus ride and frequent rest stops. I would definitely recommend this fun and tasty tour!

Do not have breakfast! There is plenty to eat! Wear shoes that are suitable for 10,000 steps. There are also strong drinks to try. Less intended for vegetarians and non-drinkers.

We had a wonderful time on this tour … Julian was so knowledgeable on the history of Bucharest and also a lot of fun to spend the day with. We enjoyed the tour, the food, the beer and the conversation. We had a great group of 8 who got along well. We took public transportation to a really cool area of the city we would not have visited otherwise and saw a large market where the locals shop. Highly recommend!

Our guide Mahalia was wonderful. The tour started off with a walking history of the area. Once we built up an appetite we stopped at a local restaurant for lunch. We then walked over to the main farmer's market and attached flea market. As we wandered around our guide bought a few items for us to share later. We then sat down, we had a beer with some great local sausage, cheese, cherries, and more. Best of all we found out that your fee for the tour goes to a non-profit that teaches school children!
