What kind of food will we taste on the tour? We usually offer a generous selection of traditional Romanian foods, though exact items may vary depending on the season and daily availability. Expect to enjoy: A peasant platter with aubergine dip, zacusca, whipped beans, fish roe, telemea and burduf cheeses, sausages, smoked bacon, cracklings, red onions, tomatoes, and toast, a selection of Romanian cheeses: cow, sheep, and goat varieties; a seasonal produce tasting, which may include wild strawberries, wild garlic, spicy pickles, watermelon, or grapes; Romania’s beloved mici (grilled skinless sausages) served with mustard; a sweet Wallachian doughnut
What drinks are included on the tour? We typically offer a variety of traditional Romanian beverages, though exact options may vary depending on availability. You can usually expect drink samples: shot of tuica (Romanian brandy); up to 3 beers, or soft drinks and coffee/tea as non-alcoholic alternatives.
Can the route or food offerings change on the day of the tour? Yes, we reserve the right to adjust both the route and the places visited during the tour. Food inclusions are also subject to change depending on seasonal availability and what’s fresh and accessible on the day. We always aim to provide a rich and authentic experience, even if some elements vary.
How much walking is involved, and do we use public transport? This is an active walking tour covering approximately 6 kilometers on foot. We also use Bucharest’s public transportation network, including a short tram ride, to explore different neighborhoods. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended!

5.00Our guide Bogdan was outstanding - extremely knowledgable and personable. We enjoyed the food of course, but what I like most are tours like his where I can learn about the place: its history, culture, architecture, and people. I can't recommend this tour highly enough. And if you're just focused on the food dont worry... its authentic, local, and delicious!

5.00Bucharest's food and drink were beyond expectations. And it was our guide, Bogdan, who brought it to life! First, he shared covrigi -a popular, affordable street food snack, then sat us down on the steps of Bucharest's National Theater and set the table with a wonderful history lesson. After which we proceeded to Taste Bucharest. And indeed, it was a Food Lover's Tour of Markets & Neighbourhoods as you can see from the pics. At 5 hours, this tour was a tremendous value - a delish and delightful foodie experience complemented by Bogdan's nuanced insights.
Great day had my me and my partner highly recommended even in the rain we had so much fun and learned a great deal

5.00Alex is an excellent tour guide. He is extremely knowledgeable and pointed out many interesting facts about Bucharest that I do not know. He is skilled in pointing out the different architectural styles found in the city. He gives great insight to the effects that Communism had on Romania and its residents. The food portion of the tour was great as well. We were exposed to many traditional Romanian dishes that I would never have tried on my own. We also had the option to try several liqueurs unique to Romania, including locally brewed beer and Romanian style “moonshine”. I can’t recommend Alex enough as a tour guide. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
