You will get an introduction into Bucharest history and beginnings by seeing the oldest buildings in Bucharest.

Bucharest roots lies in a trading background, two centuries ago, one in four buildings in the old city center was a caravan-serai, today only three of them remain and this is one of them.

5.00Dan was a great guide. He text me in the morning of the tour to let me know where to meet. It was raining but Dan kept us in sheltered areas. He was so knowledgeable, open for us asking him anything and he made the tour very personable. He allowed us to get coffee to warm us up and buy our souvenirs. He waited patiently for us to visit the churches and mooch the Library. He made the tour so interesting. We are English and he spoke so articulate. Would recommend Dan,

5.00This was a fantastic walking tour. providing insights into life in Bucharest under communism. Dan was a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide and we learnt so much over the 2.5 hours. It's well worth doing this tour as there were so many interesting facts and observations that you just wouldn't know or notice by wandering around yourself.

5.00It was an amazing introduction to the history of Romania from the Vlad the Impaler to the Ottomans, Byzantium, through the centuries to the communist rule. History was brought alive by the stories, places visited and by the enthusiasm of the guide Ed who held his audience spellbound regaling us with his extraordinary knowledge of the city and country. One of the best guides I have ever had the privilege to be led by.

5.00Lucia was an excellent tour guide. Her knowledge was amazing. It was a 3 mile walk around the city ending at the Parliament building. Lucia brought life under communism to life by talking about her own and her family's life, the poverty, the lack of food, the cold, it was a personal experience. i thoroughly recommend this tour.

5.00Loved this tour. What a fabulous introduction to a most fascinating city! Dan, our Tour Guide was so good especially with his stories of his Grandma during WW2. He should write a book of her life! During the Revolution Square part of the tour, there was a protest march happening which just lent itself to the whole story & atmosphere. Our favourite tour!

Fascinating stuff about the former Communist state, helps you appreciate the beautiful city of Bucharest. A very pleasant walk - you don't realise how much ground you cover, until you look at your smart watch. Highly recommend this tour with Daniel.
