We had an excellent experience on this food tour. Our guide made the tour interesting, informative and was very good at responding to our desire to try local food and at the same time made sure we were immersed in a bit of local culture. This tour was the highlight of our two weeks in Europe!

Couldn't recommend this tour enough. Zoltan was an incredible host and tour guide. He provided interesting insights into Hungarian culture and cuisine, as well as enlightening historical and political contexts. He is infectiously passionate about his country and its foods, which was a great way to kick off our trip to Budapest. I've been on a few other Secret Food Tours in other cities in Europe, and while all of the guides have been excellent, Zoltan is by far my favorite :-)

We were a group of 10 (5 couples) and enjoyed a private food tour with Kitty. Kitty introduced us to some local cuisine and everything was delicious! The garlic pizza was good and interesting as none of us have ever tried one before. Everyone went crazy over the ghoulash - it was incredible! We had a couple other great stops and ended at a speakeasy and tried some fun, unique drinks and appetizers. It was great to learn a bit about the history of Budapest as well. We had such a great time with Kitty, she made the whole tour enjoyable.

Such an enjoyable day walking around Budapest with our fantastic friendly knowledgeable guide Gabor . We tried delicious traditional foods and wine and had a very interesting lesson in the history of Budapest at the same time. My favourite was the “langos” deep fried flat bread with sour cream cheese and garlic

A great way to experience Hungarian food and drink away from the typical tourist traps. Our guide, Zoltan, was friendly and very entertaining. We did a private tour of 8 friends and all throughly enjoyed the evening. Going to the old communist res speakeasy was the highlight, especially having a few shots of palinka!

Great tour with Zoltan yesterday. He provided a mix of humour, history and of course great food. The right amount of food and we could have had more only for asking. I would highly recommend.

We did this at the beginning of our visit to Budapest and it was the best thing we did! The good part is that it's a walking food tour so you also get to stop at some of the prominent monuments and places along the way and get familiar with the city sights. Our guide, George was the best. He was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and spoke good English. He shared so much information about the food, culture, places, history of Budapest and Hungary. The restaurants he suggested were one of the best we visited in our trip that served authentic Hungarian food and flavours. He was also kind enough to share recipes of some of the dishes we tasted on the tour. If you are visiting Budapest, join this this tour with George. You won't regret it!
