Very nice museum, hundreds of objects, videos, cars, reconstructions of living rooms of the time. Lockers to open to discover objects from the past. Unfortunately we arrived from the opening in the morning. Between 2 very noisy groups, difficult to circulate or hear the animations. A little small to accommodate so many people at once. And then after the GDR museum in Berlin, it's hard to give an opinion.

This is a lovely little museum but I think that people who have lived during the soviet times would get more out of it. As tourists I felt it was costly for the amount of time actually spent in the museum.

While the House of Terror addresses the same theme in a sinister register, the retro museum prefers to look back on Hungary’s Communist period with lightness and humor. Many very kitch objects. We're having a good time.

Very cool and lots of things to look at. Mostly items to look at with a little description explaining them. Lockers available for free to leave bags and coats. Most items had english explanations. There were a couple of interactive things eg. a car driving simulator and a mock news desk, but perhaps more would be expected with the word interactive in the name. Staff were nice and we got a drink in the restaurant which was good.

Our childhood in a museum. Absolutely entertaining at least for those who have seen these old products. For foreigners I would recommend a guide.
