  • Beautiful but crowed and overpriced

The spa is beautiful but showing its age. It was great to do as a one-time experience. I wouldn't go back. It is much more crowed and expensive than all the other wonderful spas Budapest has to offer.

  • Dirty and overcrowded

Dirty and over crowded. I really wanted to enjoy my time here but we were there maximum 90 minutes. You also have to take an Uber there and back from your hotel. We had the yellow band and went downstairs in a visitor told us we were in the wrong section. None of the workers guided us to say we paid for rental lockers. So if you have a yellow band, stay upstairs scan your band and it’ll tell you which room you’re able to change and keep your stuff locked in. I read all the reviews and most of them said the same thing, but I thought people just like to complain about anything. I did not find it sanitary nor safe. You could easily slip anywhere. We may have enjoyed if it wasn’t overcrowded each room we went into was completely 120% full with people standing around. It’s too bad, we’ve travelled thermal spas all over the world, and this was our least favorite. Maybe look into another thermal spa in Budapest.

  • Went to say we did it, was about what we expected.

It appears as though the best time to go is winter, but also probably first thing in the morning. The architecture and history are very interesting, but the actual experience itself is a bit underwhelming if there are a LOT of people there (which, as a top attraction, is to be expected). The cabin was definitely the way to go as it afforded us some privacy, but they are much smaller than expected (i.e., one person can fit in there at a time. Definitely bring your own towel & flipflops/slippers - we used the slippers and robe from our hotel. Usually plenty of places to store them as you explore the baths, and generally felt safe. You are sharing the baths with people from all over the world, so don't forget that some customs of personal space are different, and definitely take the time to strike up a conversation with someone else! Overall, we went pretty much to say we did it. We're glad we went, but probably would not go again. The tasting at GastroCellar was lovely, we tasted palinka instead of wine and were pleased with the bartender's knowledge.

A unique thermal spa experience- the outside pool is definitely the best one and beautifully warm on a cold November day The inside pools were nice but in need of a bit of a refurb in places, inside felt like public swimming baths

Great place, lots of things to do. I have only three stars as there were no staff to help. Experience would have been much better if there were more staff on hand.

Bring flip flops and towel and robe or you'll need to rent them. I loved this unique experience. So many pools and variety of temperatures to choose from

I would have purchased the package including towel, flip flops etc for a bit more…and brought something warm to wrap in this time of year. It was lovely to be in the outdoor pools as well as the saunas and indoor pools. We did them all and spent 6 hours there! The Gastro Cellar is also worth the visit for great tasting Hungarian wines and we also had a delicious meal there. They had gluten free options.

  • Great day in the warm Spa :-)
