We enjoyed our trip with Jakub. He was very flexible, and did change the initially planned route to accommodate us. We also stayed longer in Szentendre because it had so many interesting things. The car was clean and comfortable, and we always felt safe while on the road. Many thanks for great experience!

As a group of 6 adults, we hired a van from Sidetrip Tours to take us to Vienna. Csenge was assigned to the task of not only driving but acting as our guide during the drive. We stopped at Pannonhalma Abbey, Gyor, and Bratislava. Csenge was great. She was on time and guided us at each location. She took us to a great place for lunch in Gyor for traditional Hungarian food and gave us a short tour of the city. Her driving skills amazed us as she parked the van in the smallest of spaces and she dropped us off right at our hotel in Vienna. This is a far better way to travel between cities that trying to take luggage on a train and find your hotel when you arrive. I would use Sidetrip Tours again in a heartbeat.

We are so glad we decided to skip the train and book our Budapest-Vienna transfer with SideTrip Tours! Martina was a delightful tour guide and we learned so much just by chatting with her. All of the stops were fantastic, and it was wonderful to see some smaller towns and villages (rather than just the big cities). Highly recommend!

Martina, our guide was wonderful and somehow handled both driving and guiding. She was able to tailor the trip to our interests (food and history) and point out some interesting local snacks that we hadn't tried yet (langos is amazing!). She didn't have plans to go inside the Esterhazy Palace but when I expressed interest, she was game and we all went to see it for the first time together. Really beautiful inside and definitely recommend if you have time. It was fascinating to see some smaller towns outside of Budapest and see a more local life. Martina dropped us off safely at our Vienna hotel at the end and offered some recommendations on Viennese food too. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is that it would have been just a little smoother if Martina spoke Hungarian. This mostly impacted me in the Esterhazy Palace though, which is not something Martina knew we were going to do and could not have prepared for in English! If I could have given a 4.5 or 4.75 I would have. Definitely take this trip, ask for Martina, and see more of Hungary that you wouldn't have otherwise!

We had a wonderful private transfer from Budapest to Vienna with Gabriela. She picked us up on time, the car was clean and comfortable. We chose to see Bratislava on the way, and were able to stop in Gyor as well. Gabriela is from Bratislava so was able to give us a lot of great information, and was very knowledgeable about Gyor as well. This was a great way to see more sights along the way from these two cities. Highly recommend!

We were going to take the train but this was way more fun because we got to visit the sights along the way. Mike was an AWESOME tour guide--he took us where we wanted to go and had an encyclopedic knowledge of history and culture in Austria, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. He picked us up and dropped us off where we were staying. He gave us options for food and then helped us order traditional dishes that were delicious. This tour was a highlight of our trip.

This is a great way to travel between cities. Easy and efficient communication with sidetriptours had Martina meet my wife and I off the ship in Budapest on 24-May and drive us to our Vienna. Hotel. A very comfortable Renault mini-van with just us two passengers. So a 4 hour trip takes 8 hours, but this was very easy and restful. We had 4 stops where we walked towns and historic ruins and palaces, with time for ice-cream, coffee and lunch. Martina was excellent - a good driver who knows her way around and had us feeling very comfortable and safe in the car. We had wonderful conversations with her about our families, our different countries and cultures. She guided us through the trip and the stops, providing just the right amount of information for us to absorb, whilst also letting us take her off the beaten path to explore anything we thought interesting. So much better than flying or train !

We wanted so badly to find a way to see what's in between Budapest and Vienna without having to rent a car or watch it whiz by on a train. Enter Sidetrip Tours with Andi and Tomas! This was a highlight of our trip as we made several stops at castle ruins, a palace, and a couple of cute towns that were finishing up their holiday season. I absolutely loved Sopron, with it's many visible layers of history. A fascinating place we would have never known to check out. We learned so much about the history of the region and got a wonderful sense of what lies between the two great cities. There were 5 of us tourists, all English speaking, on the trip plus the guide and driver in a van, so it was very comfortable to ask questions.
