What To Expect
Cai Rang Floating Market
Depart Ho Chi Minh City at 5:00 AM and relax on the 2.5-hour drive to Can Tho in the Mekong Delta. Along the way, we can stop at a local restaurant for breakfast if needed, or enjoy breakfast directly at the Cai Rang Floating Market. Arriving around 8:00 AM, explore the vibrant Cai Rang Floating Market, the busiest in the region. Watch the lively trading as vendors sell fresh produce straight from their boats and experience the authentic atmosphere of river life. Cruise through the waterways to fully immerse yourself in the market’s hustle and bustle. Then, learn how traditional Vietnamese vermicelli soup is made before visiting a local fruit garden. Enjoy fresh seasonal fruits, and if you wish, pick and purchase your favorites straight from the orchard.
My Tho
After exploring the market, continue to My Tho, where you’ll board a traditional boat for a scenic cruise along the Mekong River. Pass by the Turtle, Dragon, and Phoenix Islets before arriving at Unicorn Islet. Take in the lush greenery and vibrant river life as you travel. Continue your journey on a traditional sampan, gliding through narrow canals shaded by coconut palms. This close-up experience offers a true glimpse into the Delta’s unique ecosystem and daily life. Visit a bee farm to enjoy honey tea, sample fresh tropical fruits, and listen to traditional village music. Learn more about local culture before enjoying a Vietnamese lunch (vegan options available). After lunch, relax on the drive back to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving at around 4:45 PM. Drop-off at your hotel is included.

5.00We had a very nice day together with Tony. Our highlight was breakfast at the Floating Market with coffee, pineapple and soup. Here you can see an authentic market, which is not only created for tourists. We also found the noodle factory very interesting. The second part of the tour is significantly more touristy with Coconut Candy factory and music performance. Tony our guide spoke very good English and we would always opt for this private tour again.

2.00See in a day. Non-existent floating market. A lot of them catch tourists. Luckily great guide Kynie and her help Lara. Caring, attentive, smiling and super English. Despite everything the best moment is spent at the Lodge with our 2 guides. Very good food.

5.00This was an incredible full day tour that was extremely well run and organised, full of adventures and excitement. We have done so many interesting things and had lots of different experiences. Tom Cruise (and Jerry the driver) went above and beyond to make this the most memorable day. He shared his knowledge and passion for his country, its heritage and traditions; we learnt so much. He was kind, funny and considerate and nothing was too much trouble. Do not miss out on this trip.

5.00Spectacular. Our guide Benji made us the best tour we have ever done in Vietnam. From the first moment he worried that everything was perfect. He had answers to all our questions, and thanks to him we were able to learn a lot about Vietnam’s culture, history and traditions. All the activities that are done are worthwhile, from the floating market, the rice noodle factory, the visit to the four islands... But I think nothing would have been the same without Benji, thank you very much for making us spend an unforgettable day in the Mekong Delta.
