QuickCoast travels to one of the most pristine reefs on The Great Barrier Reef. We snorkel two parts (east & west) in separate snorkel sessions. See vibrant corals and clams with a possibilities of a vast variety of marine life and possible chance to see turtles, stingrays, reef sharks, and a vast variety of fishes including clown fish. After two sessions we visit Dunk Island on our return from the reef for an hour and taken ashore by our skipper for a quick history of the island and shown different types of beach walks available.
QuickCoast is the only sizable, comfortable catamaran that visits Beaver Reef. Because their numbers are small, our reef is widely regarded as one of the most untouched reefs thereby enhancing the experience for our travellers.
QuickCoast's marine biologist who also travels every day with 15 or more passengers. An excellent choice for an uncrowded experience.

What To Expect
Pick up at selected hotels or meet coach at Reef Fleet Terminal Cairns. Enjoy a morning 1.75 hour drive south to Mission Beach. Views of Queensland's two highest mountains with scenic banana and sugar cane fields. Arrival at vessel at Mission Beach for priority boarding and onboard light pastry breakfast served. We depart for Beaver Reef via Dunk Island. We have 3-4 hours at Beaver Cay & Reef. Lunch is served in between guided snorkelling safaris on QuickCoast's sundeck with a marine interpretation speak. On our return to Mission Beach we stopover at Dunk Island for an hour for a choice of beach strolls, walk on the iconic spit as well as a swim. Arrival back to Mission Beach and transfer back to Cairns for hotel drop or Reef Fleet Terminal.

5.00This tour did not disappoint! The reef was amazing, so full of wonderful things we had never seen before. We had snorkeled many times before but this was the best. We saw sharks, so many fish, colorful coral, and more. The crew was great and attentive. Two crew members were in the water with us the whole time and pointing things out. My only causation to others would be the long bus ride from Cairns and the water was cold for me and I heard others talking about how cold they were as well. While it may have been a long bus ride and time on the boat getting out, it was well worth it!

5.00It was a great experience. We saw much better coral and sea life in the outer reef snorkelling. The Captain picked us up from Cairns in a bus to take us to Mission Beach to board the boat giving great insights into the land and industries we passed along the way. We then went out to the outer reef and were the only people there for the entire time and it made it so much nicer having the freedom of the reef to snorkel. Nutritious food was provided for breakfast and lunch, with cheese and crackers on the way back to shore from Dunk island. If you have one, I’d recommend bringing a Wetsuit as they only supply stinger suits, though it wasn't a big problem as the water wasn’t too cold. They supplied all other snorkelling needs including fins, pool noodles and life jackets for beginners. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.

5.00Our trip out to the reef (and to Dunk Island) was very comfortable. The captain and deck hands were great and very accommodating. This is a perfect day trip for both experienced and inexperienced snorkelers. Lunch was delicious and fresh.

5.00This is a great way to enjoy a day of snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef. I loved the area they were able to take us to on the reef.they. The 3 man crew were extremely impressive. Louie and Matt helped make everyone have an amazing day whether we were snorkeling or on the boat. The captain wore many hats that day but you could see his true passion was helping others enjoy the reef. I would highly recommend this small group tour for families, couples and solo explorers.

5.00It was a great tour and worth the value! A small team will allow you to experience snorkeling in a private and quiet manner, so it was good. The hospitality was top-notch and they provided you with anything necessary for snorkel from diving suit to snorkel equipment, so you don't have to bring a lot of things. Mind you that the trip could take 3 hours one-way to reach snorkel spot, so be prepared with seasick meds if you need. I’ll recommend this tour if you don’t like too much crowd!
