A master calligrapher will carefully teach you how to use the tools and manners, so that even beginners can enjoy writing.

What To Expect

We will gather at the castle entrance of Matsumoto City Station. After gathering, we will drive to the venue “Ikegami Hyakutaketei”. (about 10 minutes) ↓ After arriving at the venue, I will explain about the trial lesson. ↓ I will write a character of your choice as a model. ↓ After practicing on five sheets of half-sheets of paper, students will be asked to actually write on colored paper. *The shikishi can be framed and taken home. The time required is about 60 minutes. *After the trial lesson, you can visit the Japanese garden and tea ceremony room at the venue. *Matsumoto Castle is also right in front of the school, making it ideal for sightseeing.
