The ride is about 30 minutes long and takes place in the deserted landscapes of Gran Canaria. You can ride our gentle camels, but don’t worry. You don’t need to ride on the hump. Our camels have comfortable two-seater saddles on their flanks.

Good, nice well run experience and the camels are calm and easy to ride. The staff were lovely and helpful as well. They also spoke good English

Nice experience wird animals . Better to come early in der morning. At about 11 or 12 o' clock You might have to wait 20 minutes. But it doesn't matter that much. It 'll be worth it.

That the dunes really don't look at all better to see it on foot to see that better and to go to the beach and see it

Was there at the opening pages in October. Get right in on the first trip. The camels lay ready in rows and rows. My poor girl at 5 started to cry a little at once when the camel behind came and breathed her in the neck (the camels have grids in front of their mouth so nothing can happen) the guides were attentive and made the camel ours to stand up. So we let go of this problem... Until we started walking, the camels go tight and sneezing and breathing from the camels must be tolerated. Big animals. I'd rather be happy when the trip was over. While for my two older boys and husband, this was a fun experience. My daughter and I probably thought this was something unpleasant and scary. Humps into the desert. Otherwise, I have nothing negative to say about the arrangement itself. Looks like the animals are somewhat okay. I hope so, at least. If you have won with a horse, this is definitely a great experience.

Went early so we wouldn’t need to wait in line. They were supposed to start at 9am. Didn’t get going until almost 9:45am. Disorganized

We parked in the large municipal parking building that Google Maps assured us was 5 minutes walk from the camels. This is not true. It is not possible to walk directly. Instead it is about a 30 minute walk up the pedestrian sidewalk past the pond on the edge of the dunes. Once on site we waited about 25 minutes and then about 15 couples were seated on the camels, who seemed well treated and calm, one guest in a chair on each side of the hump. The camels had loose muzzles on but could still chew sticks and branches. Weights were used to equalize the load for couples of differing weights. Three guides led the camels on a half hour walk on a sandy path on the edge of the Maspalomas Dunes. At first the camel's gait seemed irregular but we got used to it. Camels have lived on Gran Canaria for centuries and were used for agriculture and transport and now for tourism. A unique experience!

We enjoyed this experience, the 45 minute ride is well worth the €18.00 ticket price, however I do worry for the camels. They all looked exhausted, and very lethargic. I would very much like to see how they are cared for when the visitors are not there.
