The tour was well organized and started (negatively) - an hour earlier than I booked, I was informed the night before. My guide Maran was very friendly and told a lot along the way and answered questions. At the Cameron Highlands and Mossy Forest, a second guidebook was added to guide us through these two points. On the way back we stopped at another tea plantation and at a local market and a strawberry farm. Here, however, Maran was always so friendly and asked us if we still wanted to do that. In the end he had kindly taken us to a restaurant in Ipoh and gave us lots of tips about the local food/restaurants and also offered to help with any questions about Whatts app. Thank you for that!

The highlight for us was the tea plantation visits. Our driver / guide Jim brought us to all our stops and provided some insight into what we were experiencing.

Rames was a great and knowledgeable guide who made me feel welcome on the tour. Everything was flawless and I got some good restaurant recommendations for my stay in Ipoh as well.

If you are looking for comfort, flexibility and good local know-how, we highly recommend it. We enjoyed an excursion accompanied by Ram and it was a success! He has recommended the route very well.To try to reduce the mass, he has adapted to what we wanted to see (we wanted to go to hobbitone), he has taken us to a restaurant to eat where the food was delicious and never lost his smile. It's worth it and I recommend it!

We had Rames take us on a lovely tour to Cameron Highlands. He provided us with many helpful suggestions like starting the tour earlier to avoid traffic and get better views of Mossy Forest. Rames was very genuine. He focuses on our safety and drives carefully. Nothing is too much trouble for him. The tour is totally customisable. Rames was also so generous to treat us to some local Indian breakfast and Ipoh's white coffee.

Took a private day tour from Ipoh into the Cameron Highlands with a super-early pickup time of 6:30am. Why so early? In order to bypass the sometimes-heavy traffic into this beautiful area of Malaysia, and the scenery made it all worth it. The BOH Sungei Palas Tea Garden factory was unfortunately closed the day we went, but the fields of tea were spectacular. We learned much about all things tea (including what "tea" stands for, what kinds of tea you should drink at certain times of day, and most intriguingly, that the British were coffee drinkers before switching to tea!) The Mossy Forest was also a surreal environment and provided more views of the mountains across the valley as cloud rolled by; we learned much about the ancient species of flora present in this forest, and its by-products both helpful and harmful. To students or trivia-lovers, you'll learn the differences between "forests", "rain forests" and "jungles". Further stops included: the Orchid & Rose Garden (if you're "meh" about gardens, this one might change your mind -- and if the flora doesn't, the goats, sheep and bunnies might!); the Cameron Valley Tea House (more incredible scenery, and the option to have tea and snacks like scones and jam), and the Kea Farm Market (not fully-open on the day we went unfortunately) provided insight into the business of agriculture on the Highlands. Finally, an impromptu visit to the GoChin Tambun Pomelo Agro Farm rounded out the end of this tour on a sweet and satisfying note (of fresh pomelo fruit as juice). A lot of criticism arises because of two main reasons: what is seen as the marring of the landscape due to the all business of agriculture; and the increased tourism resulting in traffic jams and generally the over-running of the area by tourists (the conundrum faced by popular tourist destinations). While you will see a great many portions of the hills and terraces in the Highlands covered by tarps and structures related to farming, there is still plenty of nature to see and experience. Friday to Sunday are the peak visiting times; we went on a Monday and experienced no traffic at all, as well as an absence of larger tour groups. In conclusion, we felt this tour was well-worth the time and expense. A hearty shoutout to our guide Ram, who we got to know on this tour as an amazing person as well as driver and guide!

The day tour to Cameron Highlands from Ipoh was great. Ram was an excellent guide in coordinating our tour. He was very flexible with our time at each place and also was flexible with the itinerary. He notified us that he was going to pick us up at 6:30 am instead of 7:00 am due to the availability of the 4x4 to take us up to the Mossy Forest. We got to Cameron Highlands about half an hour early, so Ram brought us to a restaurant for a quick breakfast. Ram had us join a different tour guide (Ravi) for Mossy Forest and BOH Tea Center. The walk through Mossy Forest was fabulous, probably the highlight of the tour. Ravi was very knowledgeable about the forest and the various plants. We enjoyed the tour with him. Ram then took us to the Orchid and Rose garden, to lunch, to Cameron Valley Tea, and Kea Farm Market. Instead of Hibitoon Village, Ram suggested going back to Ipoh earlier to visit a pomelo farm. We enjoyed the tour the day with Ram, and he was very gracious and patient, never rushing us, rather telling us to take our time and to enjoy it. After the tour Ram offered to help us if we need help for our next day in Ipoh. We decided on taking up his offer to arrange a driver (Suresh) for us the next day, who took us to Gua Tempurong cave, The Tin Mining Museum, Kellie’s Castle, Papan Heritage Village, and Lat Museum. Suresh was also very good and really acted more as a tour guide rather than just a driver. So all in all I highly recommend Ram and this private day tour to Cameron Highlands. The only suggestion I would make is to inform ahead of time, estimates of the additional costs, especially for the 4x4 vehicle which cost about RM300.

A great day that condenses a lot of Cameron Highlands' main attractions. My guide, Ram, was brilliant. Highly informative and very friendly. We stopped to get coffee in the morning as it was an early start and he was very accommodating throughout the day. Would highly recommend
