Honestly the best experience from my entire trip to Seville in Spain. We arrived at the tour bus location and were greeted by the nice people there and then we headed off on coach after to Camanito Del Ray. We were lucky enough to have Alejandro as our tour guide because he was extremely knowledgeable and well spoken at explaining the history and geographical relevance of every part of the tour. Honestly the whole thing from start to finish was really well put together.. the views are incredible and a must see if your close enough to get to see it.. I recommend it no matter what tour guide you get but Alejandro is top notch and really knows and cares about the experience and explains everything in full detail for people to understand… 10/10

I had a perfectly pleasant day with our guide Merce from Seville to Caminito de Rey. It was a full day trip from Seville. It was scheduled to leave from Seville at 10am and we were on the bus and heading south by 10:10. This trip could be done on a tighter time frame as I'm not sure the stop in Osuna is necessary but some people appreciated the hospitality stop at the 1/2 point of the trip. Once we arrive at Caminito, there was some waiting around for each tour group to be processed, issued their helmets, meet their hike guides, etc. I was previously scheduled on this hike earlier in the week but bad weather prevented it (as it should! This is not a hike you want to do in the rain). It was still a little windy in some parts of the hike. I was anxious about the height but ultimately felt very safe throughout and struggled a little crossing the bridge over the canyon. We arrived back to Seville at 8pm. It is a 10-hour day but someone else was doing the driving and I got to ride on a very clean and comfortable bus. Merce spoke 4 languages quite fluently and was able to answer everyone's questions in their preferred language. Overall, I had a great experience.

We booked a day trip from Seville to Caminito del Rey with a 9:50 AM meeting time. The guide did not show up. We spent over an hour calling the provider and messaging them, but no one answered. We were left standing in the winter cold with zero information. At 10:05 AM, a message via GetYourGuide claimed a replacement was coming, but they gave no ETA. We waited until after 11:00 AM. Since we only had a few days in Seville, losing the entire morning meant it was too late to plan any alternative trip. Our day was effectively ruined. The most insulting part? Three minutes after we finally gave up and left, they messaged saying they arrived. We told them we were turning back and would be there in 5 minutes, but they refused to wait and drove off. They expected us to wait over an hour for them in the cold, but they couldn't give us 5 minutes of grace. Don’t be fooled by previous positive reviews. A company shows its true colors by how they handle problems. Their lack of communication and total lack of respect for their customers' time is unacceptable. They took a huge portion of our limited time in Seville and wasted it. Avoid this provider.

It was canceled at last minute due to weather . They told us after visiting the office and no prior communication. It Would have helped if they told us at least in the early morning. By the time it was cancelled at 10am most of the other trips are started ,so we couldn’t reschedule.

I had an amazing time trekking at Caminito del Rey! I have met two other solo travelers and the funny tour guide, Pablo! These people made the experience more fun! Caminito del Rey won’t disappoint you, so I highly recommend that you book this tour!

Quite a bit of waiting time. The entire trip could have been done in 6.5 hours, including the 2-hour coach journey each way, instead of 8. 5 hours. When we reached the 1st rest stop, we waited for 40 mins to get to the start point for toilets and helmets. At the start point, there are so many groups queueing to start that it takes another 30 mins or so. Other than that, the waiting/break times after the walk and en route back to Seville was fair. The walk is very easy. Broken up into 3 parts and the guide (not the same as the guide from the activity provider) would describe the geographical features, engineering history and fauna you'll see in each section so you get breaks in between. Only the last section is where you have to walk on a see-through metal bridge -- apart from that, one typically would not have wobbly legs. If you need food, bring your own. All vendors are just cashing in on bored/hungry/thirsty tourists and can't really cook. Quite expensive if you consider the low cost of providing the activity. It is just payment for the coach travel, the accompanying guide, and entrance fees.

Hi - parking is much easier than the website indicates - we parked at the visitor centre which was closed. Washrooms there are good, and they had toilet paper. We got there about 90 minutes early, which was good as we missed the 1st bus and had to wait in gale force winds for the next one - tail end of Hurricane Melissa. Got off at the restaurant - pls note that the long route was closed but no notification at the tunnel entrance - we had to walk back the way the bus had driven, about 300 m. Met the guides on the other side. My fear of heights isn’t as bad as it used to be - my vertigo kicks in if I don’t have something to hold on to, so I was fine on this hike - worst was the final suspension bridge due to the extreme winds. The hike itself is not long, the distance is the walking in and out. We did the official guided tour as there were no unguided tickets available- my only complaint was feeling rushed as we were not able to easily take pictures unless we dropped to the end of the pack - you get a radio with earphones, so this is possible which we realized a bit into the hike. It was busy, esp for early November - could not imagine the congestion during prime time or discomfort when hot - weather had around 20 degrees with cloud and winds and did not need the recommended water but if it’s hot there is little shade. I am glad I did it but probs wouldn’t do it again.

The Caminito del Rey itself was a very good experience. However, the write up on the Viator description clearly stated that, though the tour went Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, only on Sunday would there be a stop in Asuna. We intentionally chose Friday so we would do the caminito “in the morning” then lunch and back to Seville. Instead we did go to Asuna, then a lunch time at the Caminito site where we killed another 90 min before finally assembling with our tour leader for the hike. We had a limited time in Seville and so much time was wasted doing things we didn’t want to do. Please make the descriptions accurate! We would have sourced another tour company as there were several there doing half day trips, in order to shorten our excursion day.

POSITIVE: The hike was wonderful. The Caminito del Rey is not for those afraid of heights or need fully paved areas to walk. The walkways are narrow so in some areas only one person can proceed at a time. I hiked ahead of my group, finishing at least 30 minutes ahead, as I am a fast walker and not every scene requires a stop for a photo. Our guide did not provide headphones so we did not hear much about the area other than what we were told during the drive and walk to the waiting area. That is fine with me personally. NEGATIVE: I would not select Naturanda again as a tour company. The tour pickup from Hotel Don Paco was 10:00 which is much too late for the driving time and hike so you return over 12 hours later. We were a mix of French speaking and English speaking with different guides/translators. The French group started their hike 1 hour after the English speakers which means there was a wait for them to return. There was also a 2 hour delay waiting for the coach to return for the trip back to Seville. I sent a message during the excursion regarding my displeasure with the long wasteful itinerary, (I also heard others say the same), but was told that the wait wouldn't be that long. The guide directed us to a hotel with a bar and restaurant and we waited for the others to arrive. Boarding the coach it was pitch black and there were no other groups remaining.
