Started early and a bit bleary eyed but that soon passed! We were welcomed by our guide/driver Thallis who met us with a big smile and warm greeting. There were six in total in the group- a lovely size. Three hours later, (obviously had a comfort break on the way!) we arrived in the Aussie capital. What a splendid tour, the national war monument/museum is full of artefacts, stories, the Anzacs and their place in world history. Especially moving were the human stories, how lives were altered by war. If you are ever in Canberra, make sure to visit this spectacular museum. We also visited the National Museum, (again, superb!) and an additional bonus is the tasty food in the museum cafe. In the afternoon Thallis guided us through the new parliament building - again a treasure trove of information ( quirky facts concerning the thousands of clocks in the building). As a bonus, Thalia took us to nearby Mount Ainslie, a wonderful view of the city. After an action-filled day we slept on the way back in the very comfortable people carrier, safe in the hands of our superb driver. Not to be missed!

Be sure to get the phone number of the agency. Try to communicate with them the day before. They will leave you without any effort of contacting you,

The city itself doesn’t have much to see, but we still had a great time on the Canberra day trip. The tour was well organized, and the places we visited were peaceful and meaningful. It was a nice and relaxing experience overall.

It was a very good tour. We visited the Mt. Ainslie Lookout, then the Anzac War Memorial, the Australian Museum and the Parliament Buildings. I could have spent more time at the War Memorial and the Museum, but given the time restraints, I understand why this wasn't possible. It takes 3-hours to get there from Sydney. We left at 7:30 a.m., and returned after 6:00 p.m.. That being said, it was an excellent taste (even if it was an exhausting day) of the Capital City!

Just transportation between Sydney and Canberra. No commentary about anything. Nice and careful driver but not a tour leader.
