What To Expect
Los Haitises National Park
Day 1 We visit the East side of Dominican Republic, Los Haitises National Park Rainforest, our adventure starts After having check- in at the Ecolodge. First with a 2 to 3 Hours Hike. There you can enjoy the landscape, learn about Dominican Republic life in the country side and live nature. Along the way you will learn of the bio diverse ecosystem of the rainforest, touch Cacaos trees, unique flora and historical areas. Day 2 Next day Dominican Style Breakfast. After Breakfast we hike minutes to the Mangroves port. Then we take the equipment required for your safety (Lifejackets, etc), kayaks and going through mangrove swamps. You will see some bird-filled mangroves, rolling hills of lush vegetation. Through the mangroves and Land at the open San Lorenzo Bay, from where you can photograph the rugged forest landscape. Start checking some Endemics Birds, Mammals and Plants species, rolling hills of lush vegetation and caves of Los Haitises National Park.
Ecolodge rooms included in the visit. Dinner and breakfast plus lunch will be at the Alto de Cano Hondo Restaurant.

5.00This was a great way to see the nature of Dominican Republic. We loved this excursion. We had the same guide for the kayaking and the hiking, Joselin. He was an outstanding guide, considerate of our speed, full of information, went out of his way to point out birds, plants and other flora and fauna. We highly recommend asking for him as your guide when you book this. Our only disappointment was that our hotel room did not have a balcony with hammock, which others had noted as a highlight of their hotel stay.

5.00Amaying experiencie 2 days at the national park los haitises with a expert guides. I love the kayaking trip and the rain forest so this was the most great experience with our family at the park. I recommend to book this trip to stay at cano hondo hotel plus activities and food incluided.
