Prior to entering the Canyon Challenge Course, guests are fitted with gear, given a safety briefing and instructions, and then off they go! Guests begin on easy courses and graduate to more challenging routes. Once a course is completed, guests can proceed to more challenging courses.
The Canyon Aerial Course was designed and built by Swiss Alpine engineers to industry standards, including those of the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) as well as the specifications and safety standards of the state of Colorado. Participants are secured throughout their experience to the life safety systems using the Bornack Smart Safe Belay (SSB) lanyard system which prevents participants from detaching from the system during transfers from one element to the next while providing participants the freedom to choose their route and move at their own pace. Staff are positioned nearby to offer encouragement and assist if needed.

****CHECK-IN IS 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO DEPARTURE TIME**** The Canyon Challenge Course complex is an amazing structure tucked into the Lost Canyon. Surrounded by rugged and colorful limestone cliffs, the Canyon Challenge Course consists of more than 120 interconnected “challenge elements” including swinging bridges, cargo nets, balance beams, tunnels and more. It is a high ropes challenge course on steroids with elements ranging from easy to extreme. The 120 elements are broken into 9 course routes. Routes consist of 8-13 elements and are graded much like ski runs. The Canyon Aerial Course is designed for individuals seeking a physical challenge to test their core strength, balance, agility, flexibility, and physical prowess.

Excellent workout requiring good balance. Had a blast! Felt safe, great guide to help navigate the course, didn't mind being up high.

Did both the challenge course and zip line yesterday and it was so much fun! Caleb was so personable and offered to walk me through an obstacle I just couldn’t get as I worked my way through the levels of difficulty! Our group of 5 completed various levels and had a great time! We can’t wait to return and tackle other routes! Both Jack and Caleb helped us fly through the mountains and enjoy the scenery on the zip lines! Would definitely recommend these two guys and Captain Zipline for all your adventures!

A plus. Carrie was so excellent with my little kids. We did the challenge course and she was cool, calm, collected, hilarious, and professional. A highlight of our trip to Salida for sure.

We had great guides who were positive and encouraged us when it got tough! We were very challenged and tired when we finished what we chose to do. We were also very proud of ourselves! Thank you for giving us a great experience!👍🏻

This was a genuinely challenging course. The course guide was fun and helpful. I went with my wife and 14 yr old twins. They both loved it at their own level of accomplishment. If you want to go fast and get to black or double black diamond, or just take it easy, the challenge offers both options.

We had a lot of fun again on this zipline and obstacle course. I want to try the night tour next time. Lanee and Kerri were funny and energetic, safety conscious. All ages. They give you a video cam to wear, you may want to purchase the video after. Well run by the family and always pleasant and accommodating! Plenty to do - ATV tours also. We stayed at the Lodge at Poncha Springs only 14 minutes away - Worked GREAT.
