What To Expect

Whether hiking through lush jungle or rappelling halfway down a rock to drop in the water below, your day is sure to be filled with the sound of cheers for every natural obstacle tackled. A breathtaking view unveiled with every step taken, you will discover new treasures to admire as the surrounding scenery changes throughout your adventure and offers an array of native plants and wildlife to learn about. This epic excursion will call for swimwear, a towel and closed footwear of your own, and your guides will take care of the rest. After getting geared up at Extreme Dominica’s headquarters you will learn how to rappel on a 8-foot training wall and receive a briefing before you go on a 15 minute drive to the canyon where the real adventure begins. After traversing the magical canyon the tour concludes with a 15 minute hike back to the vehicle. The tour ends at the canyoning school with hot cocoa tea and fresh local fruit.

Akeel, Mandy & Jeffrey were excellent. I had never been canyoning before or jumped off of rocks into water and they made me feel confident that I would be able to do it. They were kind, entertaining and professional the entire time. This was an unbelievable experience with breathtaking views. And shoutout to Tanya as well!

Amazing time! Akeel and Smurf brought our group on an incredible adventure canyoning through the gorge. The views were incredible and I never felt safer jumping off of waterfalls. If you come to Dominica, you should definitely do this.

Everyone was so friendly, fun and knowledgeable all while keeping us safe. Our guide even started group singing in between rappelling and jumping. For those too afraid to jump, they were patient and had rappelling options. Price wasn’t bad for the go pro either. $50 At the end, they had a real cacao chocolate drink and fresh watermelon. Oh, and their house cat Loki was so cute and friendly

I am not generally a review writer. However, having just spent 2 weeks in Dominica with my 2 (18 year old) grandchildren warrants reviews. I am 72 and the Canyoning Experience was truly incredible. It was gorgeous, challenging, thrilling and the perfect end to a perfect trip. It does require some stamina, but the guides, Jahlel and Berani are fantastic to work with. Fun, skilled, encouraging...everything you could want. The trickiest part was walking back to the start, but even after getting my foot wedged between two rocks, I had no problem and you won't either. Don't miss this experience.
