What To Expect

Whether hiking through lush jungle or rappelling halfway down a rock to drop in the water below, your day is sure to be filled with the sound of cheers for every natural obstacle tackled. A breathtaking view unveiled with every step taken, you will discover new treasures to admire as the surrounding scenery changes throughout your adventure and offers an array of native plants and wildlife to learn about. This epic excursion will call for swimwear, a towel and closed footwear of your own, and your guides will take care of the rest. After getting geared up at Extreme Dominica’s headquarters you will learn how to rappel on a 8-foot training wall and receive a briefing before you go on a 15 minute drive to the canyon where the real adventure begins. After traversing the magical canyon the tour concludes with a 15 minute hike back to the vehicle. The tour ends at the canyoning school with hot cocoa tea and fresh local fruit.

5.00I brought my teenage son and daughter on this excursion and it was the highlight of their whole week of our cruise. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, our safety was their first priority. Equipment was good. You need to be physically fit as it was exhausting at times. This was a once in a lifetime experience. Dominica is breathtaking.

5.00Best excursion of the trip! What could be better than being surrounded by great scenery, rappelling and jumping down waterfalls! We were kitted up with wet suits and all the safety equipment needed then a short trip to the start. Short hike and then we were jumping, rappelling and traversing the canyon. Water temp was perfect, jumps were just the right height. Well planned out and felt safe the entire trip, no experience necessary, just an adventurous demeanor. Even though we were rappelling the guides had control of us the entire time. Jeffrey and Caleb were great guides. If I'm ever back on the island I will be doing this again!

5.00My 3 friends and I experienced Dominica for a week: scuba diving, hiking, and experiencing as many waterfalls as we could and this adventure with Extreme Dominica was the highlight of our trip!! Akeel and Caleb were fun, rockstar guides who encouraged us, made us laugh, and kept us safe. Don't second guess yourself... just book the adventure!

5.00I felt like Laura Croft Tomb Raider!! I went with my family of 3 - right from the start we were jumping waterfalls up to 22 feet, rappelling down next to waterfalls, and climbing on rocks in a gorgeous rainforest canyon - this is the ONLY way to see this area of the gorge. Yet is was fun and we laughed the whole way - the guides were safety conscious and entertaining the entire time. This tour shows you a side of Dominica few tourists see - do not miss it. It was this family of 3’s favorite day on Dominica!

5.00This is a unique and outstanding experience to hike through nature, jump through waterfalls and repel down canyons. The whole experience was both adrenaline pumping yet very safety oriented. You definitely don’t any to miss it. The operation and staff are very accommodating… can help you arrange transport and overall are knowledgeable, safe and a blast to hangout with. We had guided Daniel and Akil who were encouraging and fun. Tanya organized all the logistics and Neil’s- the owner is very polite and kind.

5.00The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and provided clear, easy-to-follow instructions that made the entire experience truly enjoyable. I can’t say enough about them—their enthusiasm and energy created a fun, memorable atmosphere from start to finish. A special thanks to Josh for helping my wife as she climbed out of the canyon. The activity was packed with excitement, featuring several thrilling rappels that really set it apart as a must‑do adventure. Thanks, everyone!

5.00Canyoning in Dominica was truly spectacular. Our two guides, Mandy and Akil, were so fun and engaging. We had one younger child in our group, and they were super accommodating. In terms of the canyoning experience, it felt so much more unique than other adventure activities we’ve done. Repelling down rock faces, jumping from over 20 feet up, swimming through the various pools. I would highly recommend this for anyone that loves activities with a bit of adrenaline.
