We are very pleased that we took this tour, such a powerful and sobering trip. If travelling from Accra, it is a long drive but it is completely worth it. The journey also gave us the opportunity to experience more of the real Ghana along the way. Enoch expertly guided us through out the day and shared many interesting insights to the history and modern day Ghana. Fully recommend!

The castles was great. I have a much better understanding of the horrors of the slave trade. We didn’t make it to the canopy since we ran out of time due to traffic. Both guide and driver were great. The biggest negative is it is a long drive on mostly unpaved roads. Be prepared to be in the car 5 hours each way.

We visited two different castles that were used by Europeans to ship humans to become slaves. Well worth visiting to visualize the horror these men and women suffered. The guide and driver were both great. One important issue to note is it is a long drive from Accra ( roughly 5 hours each way) over bumpy and often unpaved roads.

Our Guide, Zaid, was extremely knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions. The experience of knowing that slavery was horrible, but learning that it was more horrific for our ancestors than I knew. The emotions that standing in the spaces where these horrors took place, were raw. How ever, walking through the Door Of Returns, created a connection to my people of the Motherland that will never be forgotten.

i did two trips with Enoch and his team at Best of Africa Travels. I had an amazing time exploring Elmina Castle and Cape Coast Castle, where the deep history moved me profoundly, and the Kakum Canopy Walk was an unforgettable adventure high above the rainforest—breathtaking views and a true thrill. I highly recommend Enoch and his Driver Hamza for an amazing job done. Thanks guys!

I had a great day out with Zaid. As a solo traveler, every company charged extra. BOA charged a flat fee. Not only was I a solo traveler, no one else had signed up for the tour that day. So it was just Zaid, the driver, and myself all day. They were professional and very courteous, and I didn't feel isolated or awkward being with 2 strangers and just me. I'm tall and the car we were in for just the three of us was very comfortable. It was a very long and bumpy drive from Accra to Cape Coast (be warned), but a good day nonetheless.

This experience was so magnificent I highly recommend the tour of the canopy walk, cape coast and Elmina castle. Canopy walk was thrilling and adrenaline rushing for me as we walked over 30ft high. The experience in Cape coast and Elmina were very eye opening and the tour guides were very good in explaining the atrocities that took place. An absolute must see to gain understanding of the slave trade. Enoch and his team organised a great trip and made sure we were well looked after including capturing great moments and ensuring we safely got home. I felt in good hands. I suggest that to improve the day the pickup should kick off earlier than 7am and they should take lunch preorders in order to maximise the day.
