My spouse and I spent a Great Day on A Tropic Winds Trip ... Cape Tribulation, Daintree and Wildlife - with Guide/Driver Rick! We'd been looking forward to this trip since our middle son had visited there a couple of years ago! In our opinion this trip was extremely well organised and included Morning Tea, Lunch & Ice Cream in the afternoon. The driver (Rick) was a font of knowledge including many subjects whose names I can't even pronounce. But his knowledge of Cane and Cane-fields plus Captain Cook's Aussie voyage tallied with my 1950's schooling memories! His stories of Croc attacks matched with locales we were passing, same with newly discovered Stick Insects in Daintree. We visited a magnificent Wild life & Bird habitat where I had this extremely attractive "bird" come up to me and nibbled on my bottom lip ... On the way home we got to see several the "wild" counterparts of AUD$60,000 handbags sunning themselves on the river banks. (Ask Rick!) All in all - a long but wonderful experience! Thanks to all those who contributed to our enjoyment. Will & Caz

Booked night before so pretty much last minute. woke to find that my meet up was central bus station at 7:30. did not have international call ability and no way to contact company. After talking with a few local native fellows figured i was in the wrong place. Went to Marina and asked man at counter if he would kindly call the tour number. They had been trying to contact me for a pick up vie email that i couldn’t check till i had WFi. This was at 7:20. At 7:30 the bus arrives. Driver “Rick” gives me a hearty hello and makes me feel very welcome when he could have been put out by the inconvenience. He was very informative of the area and history was his specialty. As to attractions we fit a lot in the time allowed. Lunch was filling and good. As my fellow travelers and I were of a more mature age Rick made sure we had numerous opportunities to have restroom breaks. A lot of choices for tours in the area. People make the difference. Must do tour!!! We had an excellent time on the tour. Rick did such a great job making sure everyone was enjoying their time. He provided lots of information on the statistics of the park and history behind it that we appreciated. The Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation are stunning. We saw lots of wildlife from butterflies to crocodiles! The lunch was tasty and the ice cream was so good too. We feel we got a great experience with them. Thank you Rick!

Very good look at the rainforest and it's inhabitants. The animal sanctuary was excellent and the tour ended with a crocodile river cruise. Excellent tour leader in Brad.

Lisa was really friendly and approachable throughout. She was very knowledgable about the plants, animals, and the area (she had personal experience living here), and we had a fab time on the tour. We had a bus of about 30 people and covered lots within the day. Would recommend!

Had a fabulous, but long day, to visit the Daintree Rainforest, the oldest rainforest in the world - 180million years] old expertly driven and guided by Rick. His knowledge of the area was extensive. We started at the Daintree Rainforest Wildlife Sanctuary, then on to visit the beach at Cape Tribulation before heading into the Rainforest. Along a boardwalk we encountered a male Cassowary just walking beside us. This is a very rare sighting indeed, what an amazing experience. They are the most dangerous birds on the planet and are prehistoric. We then stopped for a delicious lunch at a cafe en route to Cape Tribulation, a stunning beach where the rainforest meets the ocean. Our trip ended with a boat trip on the Daintree River [140km long] to look for crocodiles and were lucky enough to see a female basking in the shallow water near the riverbank. Rick also stopped at viewpoints along the way to ensure we were able to take scenic photographs. He was extremely considerate of his passengers throughout the day. Thank you so much.
