The perfect tour to experience Capri in the early morning and avoid the island’s peak crowds.
Your journey begins with a scenic cruise along the stunning Sorrento coastline, where you’ll admire the charming fishing village of Marina Grande and the remains of an ancient Roman villa dating back to the 1st century BC.
Upon arrival in Capri, you’ll head directly to the famous Blue Grotto. Please note that the visit to the Blue Grotto is subject to weather conditions and high tide.
Get ready to discover Capri’s most iconic coastal highlights from the sea: the legendary Faraglioni, the Green Grotto, the White Grotto and the historic Punta Carena Lighthouse.
Enjoy refreshing swimming stops in crystal-clear waters and approximately three hours of free time on the island to explore Capri at your own pace.
Return to Sorrento is expected around 3:15 pm.
Please note: the itinerary suggested by Viator is not fixed and may vary depending on sea conditions and the captain’s decisions.

Teresa and Rafael were excellent. Teresa was full of interesting facts and very attentive. Rafael was an excellent boat captain. The blue grotto was amazing and so was Capri. Wish we had a little bit longer to walk around though.

You have the boat for a day and captain will give you options. You see several grottos and the captain and staff are entertaining and fun!

Enrico and Teresa are the best, they were very helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. The Yatch is very nice and clean, we only wait 20 minutes to get into the Blue Grotto. Swimming was amazing, we got drinks and a nice fresh fruit display.

Fantastic day out. So relaxing on the boat & a fantastic way to see Capri before hoping off the boat and exploring by foot. Can’t recommend enough.

What a day! Luigi and Enrico were absolutely amazing tour guides. Very knowledgeable, funny and took the time to chat and get to know us. They supplied prosecco, coke, water, beer and fresh fruit. If you are looking for a tour of Capri and the Blue Grotto, this is it!! We had a blast! Grazie regazzi!!

We had an excellent experience. Our Captain and Guide were amazing. Thanks to the tour being earlier than most of the tourist rush we were able to get into Blue Grotto immediately and were there before they’d even gotten the smaller boats in place and ready for customers. We were the third or fourth boat inside in the morning. The rest of the trip went just as well. It was leisurely but we still saw everything in the coast including the Blue, Green, and White Grottos. On the shore you don’t have time to do everything but you do have enough time to eat, shop, and go for a walk. Our guide, Giuseppe, suggested taking the bus up and walking down from the city center, which we did. The views down were amazing. Definitely worth the extra expense to not book the ferry and coastal tour separately.

This experience was worth the money. We took the 4 hour boat tour around Capri and the weather allowed us to get into the blue grotto. Our tour guides were so amazing (Luigi and Enrico?)! Advice to other travellers- read the details as you whether you are booking the 4 hour tour or the 8 hour with drop off to Capri, as it seemed like a lot of people were confused about what they booked. You also need to read the details that the price to get in to the Grotto is 18€ (paid to a separate company), €10 tip for blue grotto boat is separate (paid to a separate company and is EXPECTED). Make sure you budget for tipping your boat guides as well (these guys deserve it).

Our boat caption was amazing and you can tell this company is well organized unfortunately this time of year Capri is extremely busy and we spent well over and hour and a half waiting to doc and reboard the boat to visit Capri. Riding around the boat and swimming was so wonderful and the crew was amazing but this time of year it was hard with the crowds, especially think about the blue grotto. The waters were high and dangerous but we almost waited well over an hour because 1 of 8 on the boat wanted to wait in the choppy waters.

This Capri small-group boat tour from Sorrento was one of the highlights of our trip! The boat was comfortable and the crew truly made the experience. They were professional, friendly, and so personable—striking the perfect balance between being attentive and letting everyone relax and enjoy the day. Unfortunately, due to weather conditions we weren’t able to go into the Blue Grotto, but the crew handled it wonderfully and made sure we still had a great experience. We were given extra time on Capri, which ended up being such a bonus and allowed us to explore the island more at our own pace. Everything felt well-organized and stress-free, from start to finish, and the whole day had such an easy, fun vibe. A private boat experience like this is often praised for combining comfort with flexibility and great service, and this trip definitely delivered on all fronts. Great tour, great crew, and a truly great day—highly recommend!
