The perfect tour to experience Capri in the early morning and avoid the island’s peak crowds.
Your journey begins with a scenic cruise along the stunning Sorrento coastline, where you’ll admire the charming fishing village of Marina Grande and the remains of an ancient Roman villa dating back to the 1st century BC.
Upon arrival in Capri, you’ll head directly to the famous Blue Grotto. Please note that the visit to the Blue Grotto is subject to weather conditions and high tide.
Get ready to discover Capri’s most iconic coastal highlights from the sea: the legendary Faraglioni, the Green Grotto, the White Grotto and the historic Punta Carena Lighthouse.
Enjoy refreshing swimming stops in crystal-clear waters and approximately three hours of free time on the island to explore Capri at your own pace.
Return to Sorrento is expected around 3:15 pm.
Please note: the itinerary suggested by Viator is not fixed and may vary depending on sea conditions and the captain’s decisions.

My cousin and I went on a boat tour while in Sorrento last week. Agatha was our guide and was extremely friendly and well educated on different landmarks along the way. She took multiple photos for us during the boat ride and gave multiple suggestions for restaurants and activities during our 4-hour break in Capri. She also had fresh fruit and drinks ready for us when we got back on the boat after our time in Capri. We paid an extra fee to see the blue grotto cave during our boat tour, but didn’t necessarily think it was worth the cost. This charge is separate from the tour and you can opt out of the cave experience if you aren’t interested in it. Overall we had a great time and would definitely recommend to anyone interested in seeing more of the Amalfi Coast by boat! Agatha was absolutely wonderful :)

Great day, fair price for what is involved, I would have liked more time on Capri island. Be aware you need extra money to enter the caves, they want you to tip heavily also after buying a ticket and the guy who takes you out on the boat from sorrento to Capri. I don’t mind giving a tip but it’s quite forcefully encouraged ! I would do the trip again :-) and recommend it

Francisco was the best boat host. He surprised my friend with a birthday treat. Very engaging and knowledgeable. The captain Raffaele got us close to the caves and made it a smooth ride. The only thing worth mentioning is that once you get to the port on Capri, you either have to take a taxi, city bus, or the shuttle bus to get to the shopping areas of both Anacapri and Capri. Due to time constraints, we chose the shuttle which was 25 Euro!!!! The added fee for transportation should be mentioned in the description. The Blue Grotto is not worth 18 Euro to see, it's just blue water, watch a YouTube video for free. Capri, while beautiful, is over priced. Awesome views though.

Francisco was highly entertaining and Rafaele was a very capable captain. They both answered many questions from the 10 or 12 passengers along the way about the trip, the boat, the island, other tours they lead. Smooth ride on a lovely small boat (10 meters), great service, cold drinks, and a "show" from Francisco at the swimming spot. Couldn't have asked for a better day on the water.

Lucio was a wonderful tour guide with the perfect balance of humour, history and guidance to make our day in Capri unforgettable! Sylvester was also an expert captain of our boat. I highly recommend this tour and Lucio for a fun and memorable boat trip to Capri. The highlight was jumping in for a swim towards the end of the day.

Great trip. Weather was amazing. Agata and our captain were great. Blue grotto was cool once you got over the small hole you had to get through. Tipping the blue grotto boat guys was a bit much given you're already paying to access the grotto. Capri piccolo beach were we moored up was fab. Others explored the island but instead we stayed at the beach and had a few swims and jumps...nice..refreshing! We had a great bunch on the boat with us that made it all the more enjoyable.

Very good experience with a super nice skipper, Enrico, thanks to him! The boat ride is beautiful and worth a visit. On the other hand we have to pay 10 € extra fee at departure in the morning,... regrettable. And to enjoy the visit to the island, 4 hours is really too short, because of the necessary transport (bus or taxi) and very long waiting times.

Federico and Antonio were very good tour guides. Although we couldn't do the blue grotto because of weather conditions, they more than made up for it with the green and white caves. The only thing I avoid would be the blue bus trip to Ana Capri. Its a rip off for 25 euros per person. I would suggest sticking to Capri for the 3 gour break!

Capri is overrated. The boat ride was sheer hell. Several people sea sick. Boats are way too small for such choppy waters. Waiting for others to swim after a long day was unfair. The staff tried hard but I couldn't wait for the day to end. Viator runs a nebulous website that's all ads and no customer service. No way to reach anyone by phone.

The island of Capri is gorgeous but the best part of this tour was the boat ride out to the island, cruising around the island looking at caves and the incredible rock formations, the stop for swimming off the boat and the small group singing through the sudden rain storm on the way back to sorrento. Rafaela and her co-captain (he was awesome but I didn’t catch his name) were the best guides- helpful, fun and always making sure our group was having fun. Highly recommend!!
