We do not visit La Cité (The medieval castle)

Our guide was friendly, flexible and a native English speaker who ensured all our questions were answered. We particularly loved that he had archive photos to bring the stories to life. By far the best tour we have done this trip into France!

5.00An interesting and informative talk enthusiastically delivered by Paul on an aspect of Carcassonne other than the mediaeval cite. The realities of living under the occupation was covered including individual local heroes, the resistance and escape of Jews and downed airmen across the Pyrenees. Can't recommend enough.

5.00Very informative and knowledgeable especially regarding the French resistance within Carcassonne. Couple of nice drink stops too especially at Le Bristol where hopefully the tour guide will eventually get his free drink!
