The Carmel-by-the-Sea eBike Tour is a slow-paced tour covering approximately 12 miles. Part is focused on tree-lined streets in the sleepy neighborhoods of Carmel's "Golden Rectangle." When we ride the 3-mile Scenic Drive along the Ocean, it's hard to know which way to look.....gorgeous beach on on e side and gorgeous homes on the other!

The variety of homes is stunning, including homes by Charles Sumner Green, and Frank Lloyd Wright. It's a favorite for architecture fans.

Mission Trail Nature Preserve

Your guide will point out the entrance to these great hiking & biking trails as we get ready to cross the street to the Carmel Mission. At this point you're on the path that marks California's first road...El Camino Real.

Admission Not Applicable

Your fun adventure starts at Pedego Electric Bikes, where you'll get introduced to the best way to experience Carmel-By-the-Sea. Your local guide will set you up on a bike best for your personality (and height). After a safety briefing and instructions, you'll be given a chance to test the bikes in the back parking lot before launching out on our adventure.

Our tour guide was fantastic! She took us on a great route around Carmel and showed us many of the significant sites. As we drove around during the rest of our trip (over the next few days) we had a much better feel for the town's layout and geography and which parts we were going to want to take a look at! The bikes worked great and were easy to use. Definitely would recommend and would also suggest doing this tour towards the beginning of your trip to Carmel since it highlights all the important places you might want to come back and visit. Will definitely be back to do another tour next time we are in town!

My husband and I are first time e-bikers, and we are hooked. Flo was amazing as our instructor and guide...he was very thorough in teaching us how to operate the bike and took great care making sure we safely navigated through traffic and intersections. He was also so knowledgeable about Carmel (past and present), the ecosystems, traditions, inspirations, etc. The ride was gorgeous, relaxing and informative. We were able to stop as long or as briefly as we wanted, for photos or just to take it all in. In reviewing the itinerary, I was a little concerned about some of the hills we would be traversing. However, the e-bikes make the journey effortless. This is a must do!

It was amazing. I was very nervous traveling with 2 kids that have never ridden electric bikes before. I hadn't either but the kids are my main concern. Flo put my mind at ease he explained everything so well and let us know ahead of time what to expect, as a mom that made all the difference. On top of that he was very knowledgeable and very engaging. The trip was beautiful and calm, just what I needed. Even the 17 year old that doesn't like anything enjoyed this experience. I HIGHLY recommend doing this trip, it was well worth it.

It was wonderrul experience - i higly recommend this activity! I went with my wife , who is a begginner, when it comes to biking, and Taylor was incredible patient with us. She gave us plenty of time to explore at our own pace. The views were beautiful, and my wife absolutely loved, both of us. If you want to learn about Carmek and discover some of its hidden streets, definitely something you should do. The charming streets, stunning beach, and the joy of riding around made it really gun and memorable time.

Ride through Point Lomos State Park and hiked some trails with our guide Flo. He was incredibly knowledgeable and even spotted whales for us! A day we will never forget with breathtaking views. Bikes were great! Highly recommend.
