Peaceful ride through a dark park

Overall, we had a good time. I was under the impression that central park has Christmas lights up during Christmas. They do not. The company did not suggest they did in their ad, so I'm not suggesting they did. That was just a bad assumption on my part. We had a very peaceful, very dark, tour of the park with Matt. The tour got off to a rough start, with enough awkward silence and one word answers that my girls felt a little uncomfortable going into the dark park. Shortly enough, our guide woke up and gave us a good tour. I think he was just very tired, so we tipped him well. It was very late, 11 pm! He gave us great info on the park and took good pictures for us. He brought carrots for our horse, Strawberry, and let the kids feed her. That was the highlight of their trip so far.

We tried to modify the time and take a carriage ride and no one would help us. The tour operator would not help us to fix the time and they would not refund us. Also the prices were $100 more than what they were at the park.

First of all the Park is not decorated with Christmas motifs. We did a walk in the afternoon expecting to find a Christmas atmosphere and nothing, it was all dark, it was all a disenchantment, a total disappointment, they sell it very nice with the car (which is not a car and Christmas lights in the background) is a tricycle. Another total disappointment!!!

What by Memorial the driver was very nice. The horse was not always so nice but that’s a horse. It was clean and well ran all the people working were very nice and we enjoyed the ride and will always cherish those memories. Thank you.

Our driver seemed rushed. He asked us to come early. It was not a problem, so we came early. We started our ride and about half way into the ride he pulled over and said “You can take pictures here. You have 5 minutes”. There were no other stops. When we resumed the ride, we were passing other carriages and the other drivers were glaring at us. When we ended the ride, the next booking was standing there waiting. We asked for one more photo and the driver obliged. There were no carrots for the horse as advertised. Again, it all seemed very rushed. The carriage was nice and our horse, “Strawberry” seemed well taken care of. The ride was okay

A quiet beautiful ride in a sea of chaos! After shopping all day, we were ready for this. The cold night air made the buildings shimmer against the dark sky. Our host, Matt was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable . It was the perfect end to a great day!
