Medieval castles are always drawn by its astonishing scale of construction, since they are true masterpieces of stone and by a sense of the lost world of knights, heroism and chivalry. Castles are not only massive stone walls but ingeniously designed fortifications which used many brilliant and creative ways to protect castle lord and its inhabitants towards the attacking enemies. Medieval period, placed among the antiquity and renaissance lasted twice as long as our modern period, with its unbalanced picture of violence on one side and big progress on the other.
