We absolutely loved our tour with Chris, Fletcher and Libby earlier this summer. Not only did we learn heaps from the informative commentary about the area, we also had an incredible snorkel with huge fish swimming around us in the marine reserve. My two year old absolutely loved the entire experience. The boat was lovely and spacious with the hot shower being a real bonus when we got out of the water. As the conditions were quite still we got to go into a cave and my toddler got to feed the fish off the boat - soooo cool. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody staying in the area. It was unforgettable and I’m so glad we did it. Thank you team!!!

We had an absolutely brilliant trip with Mercury Bay Discoveries. Chris and Rose were fantastic hosts, proving superb hospitality, fine welcomes, and great information about the local bays & area. The boat was incredibly comfortable and we saw so much of the beautiful coastline - it was just fabulous. The Cathedral Cove was spectacular and we got in to see a wonderful cave whilst aboard the boat. These guys deserve to do really well, and I’d encourage anyone looking to explore the Whitianga/eastern Coromandel coastline to take their trip - it’s a fabulous experience!

Chris and Fletcher from Mercury Discovery Cathedral Cove excursion were absolutely amazing. The boat was pristine and Chris was most knowledgeable. The parents from South Africa throughly enjoyed the excursion and history. 100% for this Captain and team.

100% book this tour. Chris and Rose were super friendly and helpful and really knowledgeable about the local area. Got a great view of Cathedral Cove and the marine conservation area and inside another cave which was amazing. I also loved the swimming and snorkelling and felt very safe when doing it. Would 100% do this tour again!

What a fantastic 2.5hr tour! Highly recommend this experience to anyone thinking about it......just do it! We are a group of four travelling NZ, two from Gibraltar, and two Kiwi's who live in Aus. This well organised coastal tour was an 11 out of 10, showing us the best beaches, scenery and history this part of Coromandal has to offer. The weather and sea's were good for our tour and we got to reverse into a rock cave and feed the snapper off the back of the boat (not possible if the sea is being unkind) something which we will never forget. Well worth the ticket price!

Value for money trip lasting around two & a half hours. A chance to see part of the rare coastal marine reserve. The weather conditions couldn't have been better, allowing us to get even closer to the coastline and sea caves. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.
