Tours operate daily, with itineraries based on tidal conditions. If your preferred tour is unavailable, check the alternate option— both tours include Mautohe Cathedral Cove, one of the world’s Top 50 Beaches!

Access to Cathedral Cove is weather-dependent; alternative stops may be arranged in poor conditions.

Guests must wear reliable, closed-in footwear suitable for walking on various terrains.
For safety reasons, the track may be unsuitable after or during heavy rain. In such cases, alternative arrangements will be made
Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
Children aged 7 years and below are required to travel in a child safety car seat. You can provide your own or one can be provided for $20 NZD (with 24 hours notice).
Hot water beach is not always available due to the tide not being compatible with visiting this location for safety reasons.
Bring some clothes you can swim in and a towel
Not recommended for travelers with severe mobility difficulties, a large amount of walking over uneven surfaces is involved.
Guests must have a high level of fitness and be capable of completing the challenging 40-minute walk to and from Cathedral Cove.

Auckland Central
Your tour starts in New Zealand’s largest city. As we drive out of the city your guide will not only set the scene for your adventure today but also point out and guide you past some of the city’s top highlights.
Exiting Auckland we travel south through the stunning Waikato countryside, the most extensive farming area in the world, encountering beautiful scenery, mighty rivers, great photo opportunities, impressive mountains and several farm animals along the way.

5.00⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — Outstanding Experience with Matt I did the Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach and Coromandel small-group tour today as a solo traveller, and Matt absolutely made the day unforgettable. He went well above and beyond the standard itinerary, taking us to a few extra spots that added something really special to the experience. What really stood out was the way he brought the whole group together. Within a short time, everyone was chatting, laughing and genuinely connecting — something you don’t always get on group tours. His local knowledge and tips were incredibly useful, not just for this trip but for future travels as well. Matt has a fantastic mix of professionalism, friendliness and passion for what he does. 5.00We had a great time with Cam as our guide visiting the hot water beach and Cathedral Cove. He is a wealth of knowledge and we enjoyed learning so much about all aspects of New Zealand throughout the day. He went the extra mile to learn about our interests and incorporated that into the tour too. He made sure we were all doing okay and had snacks and water available to us. He also managed to fit in a whole additional hike up Mount Paku which we really enjoyed, as well as stop offs at great places for breakfast, lunch, and ice cream. Overall a perfect day!

5.00This is a great tour. It is a long day, but well worth it. Hanoz is an excellent tour guide. He used the driving time to get to know a little about us, which helped us all to relate to each other during the day, and provided conversation starters. He is very knowledgeable about other cultures, which made us all feel comfortable. He also provided interesting information about the area we were visiting. Cathedral Cove is a bit of a walk in and out with some of it being quite steep, but it well worth the effort. The Hot Water beach was a lot of fun--we didn't want to leave! Hanoz built in plenty of stops for food and rest making the long day very pleasant.

5.00This was my favorite tour of the trip. Mark was our driver and guide and he was the most laid back, kind person. Everything was really well timed and we had plenty of time to enjoy Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach. He found a great spot to dig and it was such a cool experience!

5.00Had an incredible day on this tour. Ark was an amazing guide: friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to travel with. The hot pools were a blast, especially once you dug down to the perfect depth for that warm water. Cathedral Cove was absolutely stunning, and the viewpoint stop tied it all together with a magnificent panorama. Highly recommend!

5.00A really nice trip, where you get to see a bit of New Zealand. Cam Cameron was and is an excellent tour guide and gave us a lot of stories and experiences on the way. Even tho the weather wasn’t on our side, it was still really beautiful to see Hot Water Beach and Cathedral cove. And ending it all off with an ice cream
