What To Expect
The Te Whanganui-A-Hei Marine Reserve opens up a sea kayaking paradise full of beaches, islands and rock gardens that are just waiting to be explored. Paddle through sea caves, interact with the local marine life and discover the thrill of kayak sailing with the wind on your back. The tour offers great photo opportunities and is topped off with cappuccinos, hot chocolates and cookies at Cathedral Cove!

Nice kayak tour - but Cathedral Cove itself a bit of a tourist trap (overcrowded).

5.00One of my favorite activities of our vacation. The weather was perfect and the guide was great! We kayaked out and the wind was just strong enough for us to sail back in. Highly recommend!

5.00Great experience. Our tour guides cared about each and everyone. The Kayak Tour was great fun and we learned a lot about geology, sea life and history. On top they served coffee and cookies in our break.

5.00Had a lot of fun, really good experience. Scenery was amazing, the kayak ride was exhilarating. Guides were friendly and knowlegeable. Group size was small and intimate during the 3 hour tour. I was lucky as I manage to book a tour at the last minute, grateful for the flexibility of the staff.

5.00Great experience! Well worth it as you spend over 3 hours and get to beach on Cathedral Cove. Brad was a great guide and shared a lot of the history of New Zealand and surrounding islands as well!
Our guide’s dad’s jokes were… just okay.

5.00This was a a safe, fun and incredible experience. The guides were knowledgeable, professional and super fun. The kayaks were in good order. The scenery was terrific. The hot chocolate at Cathedral Cove was a nice touch. I would not hesitate to recommend or use again.

5.00A chilled sunrise kayak in a small group. Lovely to be out on calm water, looking for snapper, sting ray, understanding more of the rock formation and Māori history of the area. Delicious hot chocolate on the beach at Cathedral Cove. Fabulous

5.00Wow!! We booked this last minute and they squeezed in our family, all I can say is thank you! We had the most amazing morning with Georgia as our guide. Such a great family activity which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Such an amazing way to explore the Cathedral cove beach and coastline.
