Catedral de Barcelona
The Cathedral of Barcelona is comprised of three naves, but just a single apse and ambulatory. The naves have five sections: that closest to the façade is the longest in order to accommodate the dimensions of the cimborio, which is adjacent to the main entrance. The typical structure used in Catalan Gothic constructions, arranged to permit use of the spaces within the buttresses, allowed rows of secondary chapels to be opened up in the Cathedral. There are two chapels in each section of the naves, encircling the entire basilica.

Buy the ticket at the Cathedral. This is not guided or structured. We pretty much wandered around. There was an option to listen but with out WiFi it didn’t work well. The tickets are ridiculously higher on Viator than at the actual Cathedral. Cathedral was beautiful.

The tour operator was responsive initially but the audio was very disappointing - it wouldn’t play after the first few short files - and the host then became uncontactable when I asked for a partial refund. Wouldn’t recommend spending the extra £/€ on the audio anyway and don’t get caught out thinking the cathedral means Sagrada Família (a basilica) (rookie error!). Also had to queue for ages, despite having tickets. Oh and even if you’re wearing longer shorts you need to cover knees (as well as shoulders)

The tour woman was kind however for the price paid for the tour it was poorly in information only 30 minutes of taking us through partial part of the Cathedral and left us to the main cathedral without information about the different expositions alone to wonder . 490 euros for 30 minute tour without even having being able to ask questions partial guide of the cathedral and left us without any direction or explanation in the historical site makes it a poor experience and expensive for the service rendered. I am kindly requesting your review for partial or total refund as per the poor experience tour. Thank you for your candor . Nicole Spirgatis

The self-guided tour for the Cathedral of Barcelona has been effective for us as we valued more the flexibility, the stress-free and exploring at our own pace approach. The self-guided audio enabled us to have the perfect balance of independence/freedom and insights. Will highly recommend.

Beautiful Gothic masterpiece. The cathedral is worth it and the top is gorgeous. There is a rooftop view and you can sit on benches at the top and take pictures by the towers. The inside has multiple saints you can pay your respects to and there is a shop you can buy rosary’s and prayer cards and religious gifts towards the end. There is beautiful little pond by the store and it has swans. Overall it was a beautiful place and I had a good time and wanted to capture everything.

The audio does not work at all, so this a truly “tourless” guide. Disappointed in rbe price point being charged for the actual experience you get! Don’t think this is a Viator problem, but a Cathedral problem. I’d skip this tourist trap and just walk by the outside
