What To Expect
Catedral de Barcelona
The Cathedral of Barcelona is comprised of three naves, but just a single apse and ambulatory. The naves have five sections: that closest to the façade is the longest in order to accommodate the dimensions of the cimborio, which is adjacent to the main entrance. The typical structure used in Catalan Gothic constructions, arranged to permit use of the spaces within the buttresses, allowed rows of secondary chapels to be opened up in the Cathedral. There are two chapels in each section of the naves, encircling the entire basilica.

1.00The audio wasn't accessible! We asked for assistance but we got none. Really bad service in the cathedral as well as my experience with Viator. The same day I tried to buy tickets for Sagrada Familia, by mistake I selected cathedral of Barcelona again. I realized the mistake and canceled it immediately however I did not get the refund!!

It allowed us to listen on our own mobile devices and take our time to see everything at our own pace.The audio tour had sections for each part of the cathedral, and it helped us understand the history. This is one of the most beautiful churches I have ever been in. It was a wonderful experience.

4.00The Barcelona Cathedral was one of the highlights of my trip. The interior is vast and breathtaking, with soaring columns and beautifully crafted chapels full of intricate details. It’s worth taking your time to explore, because every corner reveals something special — carvings, stained glass windows, and elaborately decorated altars. The ambiance is both solemn and peaceful.

5.00Amazing cathedral. Definitely go to the roof and look out at the Baecelona roof tops. The surrounding area (Gothic) part of Barcelona is also beautiful. The tight alleyways and all the shops and restaurants are a beautiful mix of history and modern architecture.
