What To Expect

Nohoch Che'en Caves Branch Archaeological Reserve

Tour starts in San Ignacio at flexible hour. You will drive 1 hour the site where we will provide you with equipment for your tour. You will then walk 45 minutes to the cave. During the hike you will see bats, birds, medicinal plants etc. Once you reach cave We will start tubing through the caves for the next 2 hours. We will exit the river at approximately 2 minutes walk from the vehicle. After changing into dry clothes we will provide you with lunch and then head back to San Ignacio.

Edwin was a fantastic tour guide . He was knowledgeable, flexible, and really took his time. We never felt rushed. We toured Xunantunich Ruins, Horseback riding, amazing cave tubing, and Mayan cultural experience over 2 days. I would totally recommend Edwin. We've taken many guides in different countries, and his service really stands out.

My friend and I enjoyed our trip with Edwin. He picked us up at our resort and brought us to the cave. He was very informative during our walk - pointing out different insects and plants. The water wasn't too cold when we got to the entrance of the cave. Edwin steered our tubes through the cave with some short stops along the way to point out things. After finishing, we had some BBQ chicken and headed back. I recommend this activity.

Edwin took us to the San Ignacio market and waited patiently as we shopped. Then we had an awesome cave tubing experience! Next we hiked to Big Rock Falls. It was so beautiful. The day was perfect. Edwin was so knowledgeable and efficient and helpful. The next day Edwin arranged for Sergio to take us to Tikal ruins in Guatemala. Same as the day before; excellent and kind and helpful guide. We would use Edwin’s company over and over. He made our trip with lasting memories.

I absolutely recommend this tour to everyone. My friend and I had a therapeutic float through the caves and swam in the clearest, most refreshing waters I had ever seen. Edwin was extremely knowledgeable and patient with the spam of questions we threw at him. I had a great time floating, swimming and learning

This tour was top notch. I would highly recommend it. Great for our group of aged sisters. Edwin was very patient and professional. He showed us various vegetation along the walk to the river. The walk was easy to manage and very enjoyable. It was a great experience. I would highly recommend it if you’re in the San Ignacio area.

We had made arrangements to meet at the hotel and Edwin guided us to the cave tubing site. Super great hosts, Edwin and Monica. Edwin is so very knowledgeable and very conscientious of our physical abilities. Flairs and fauna, Mayan history, is his expertise.
