The excursion to the stunning Rio Celeste Waterfall offers an immersion in the natural beauty of Tenorio Volcano National Park. What To Expect
Parque Nacional Volcan Tenorio
We will start with a visit to Tenorio Volcano National Park where we will hike and hike to get to see Rio Celeste Fall, this will take about 2 1/2 hours. Outside the park we will swim in the celestial river, and then enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch in the village of Bijagua and finish with the visit a Private Ecological Reserve where we will observe sloths and other representative animals of the Rainforest.

5.00One of the best tours I've ever been on. My family and I spent the day with Verny on the Rio Celest tour, and it was such a pleasure to see how much he loves his career. Kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about making sure we had a great time. Hiked to the waterfall, swam in the river, authentic Costa Rican lunch at a local, family run restaurant, cafe stop, and visit to preserve where we saw sloths, three different kinds of Toucans, and a monkey. A fantastic day. A long day but so worth it.

5.00We had a full day private tour on April 30, 2025 with our tour guide, Vernie. I would recommend this private tour with Vernie to anyone. It was a highlight of our trip. We have been on tours all over the world in dozens of countries and the tour guide always makes the experience. Vernie ranks among the best there is. He knows nearly everyone at every location, but even if he didn't, he's so friendly he'd probably be able to get you special treatment anyways. Outstanding communication, enthusiasm and passion. He is a true professional, and extremely knowledgeable about all elements of our tour and Costa Rica overall. Anyone who is lucky enough to have him as their guide will be in for a terrific time. An excellent trip!

5.00Verny is undoubtedly the single best tour guide we’ve ever had in all of our world travels. It was just my husband and I on a private tour for 11 hours to Celeste Falls and sloth sighting, and we are still talking about it. He is so knowledgeable, professional, charming, fun, detail-oriented, and prepared for anything. I would pay double for him and all of the amazing photos he shot and shared from our day with him. Hands down the best ever. Book it!

5.00Some tour guides are good, some of them are excellent, and then… there is Verny! He is one of a kind, he treats you like a family from the moment you meet him! Verny is knowledgeable, passionate about nature and everything Costa Rica has to offer - he will do everything possible (and sometimes, impossible) to show you the hidden gems of Costa Rica, and to make sure your day trip with him will be memorable and enjoyable! And when you come back to your hotel/resort tired and happy, your only regret will be that you didn’t book more tours with Verny ahead of time. So, if you are planning a trip to Costa Rica and are reading this review - do yourself a favor and book as many days with Verny as you can - you’ll be happy you did!

5.00Verny is the best! Along with providing an amazing journey, he did do safely! Showed us ip close amazing wildlife and has an unbelievable eye for sites and sounds that otherwise would not be noticed! Ask him about the most amazing Churro you will ever have We cannot recommend Verny enough and your can bet the next time we visit Costa Rica we will for sure look him up!

5.00Our day long trip to Rio Celeste and Wildlife Sanctuary with traditional lunch was absolutely amazing. Verny is simply put, the best and most respected guide out there. The absolute phenomenal care he took of my 77 year old mother in law and my 9 year old daughter was as if they were and we all were his family. If you are looking for a quick in, take two shots for your insta and leave kinda tour, this isn’t it. If you want an immersive day that covers Costa Rican history, food, flora and fauna and yes some amazing photos too, this is the company and guy you want to deal with. From the moment we met Verny outside our hotel for pickup at 6:30 am you knew you were in for a great day. He made sure everyone had everything they needed with them before departure and asked what we all wanted out of the day, making the adventure about us as a family, not just a cookie cutter bus excursion. We watched the throngs pass by at Rio Celeste and and miss so many things because it was go go go. Not our family tour…. We got to find out about palms that walk, blow dart trees, snakes, frogs, flowers, all that were passed by, by the large groups. Lunch was amazing at the butterfly sanctuary and the Sloth/Wilderness Sanctuary did not disappoint with Sloths, Blue Jean Dart Frogs, Eyelash Pit Vipers, bees, ants, you name it. The day would not have been the same without Verny as our guide, and all that personal care. Just very slightly more than if we had done a bus tour. It was well worth it. Thanks Verny

5.00We had a wonderful tour with Verny. He was knowledgable about everything we saw, sites we visited and foods we tasted. He was prepared for all situations and treated us like a family member. He not only functioned as; a safe and dependable driver, a great tour guide, but also as a semi-professional photographer. He took most of the pictures for our tour and with his telescopic equipment, provided timely and magnificent photos. I highly recommend Verny Vasquez as a guide for any tours you wish to take in Costa Rica
